    Look harder. It's almost always cracked/cold solder joints. Sometimes they are barely visible. Reflowing should fix it. If I recall correctly it's usually a crack on the the logic board cable socket.

    Everything is well and good with the 1.2.1 ROM in my IIcx. I just wanted to try upgrading the ROM in case the card finds itself in a younger machine down the road. But I will not use a newer ROM if it disables features.

    I tried Bolle's ROM in my Precision Color 8-24X, and it maxes out at 1024x768. Also doesn't show up in the QuickColor control panel from RadiusWare 2.2.1 so I assume acceleration is not working as-is (probably needs newer RadiusWare version). I will revert to the ROM 1.2.1 which came with my...

    The LC in the 2nd pic has UV erasable EPROMs mounted instead of the usual one-time programmable ROMs. Maybe it is an early version? I would dump them
