Is it the ThunderPower version of the Thunder card. It had the solder pads but no connector for the optional DSP board.
I used it for a bit in my 0S 9.1 Powerbase for a while. It worked fine but had a sync on green problem. I think I used the Radiusware drivers.
Im just thinking off the top of my head, but I believe all the Pro models were 60MHz capable.
Edit: Lowendmac says just the PowerCenter and PowerCenter Pro and Power Tower. Power Conputing probably used the same components as Apple. They just 'certified' them to run up to 60Mhz. Mind you...
I wouldnt read too much into the model names from this or any period. They really dont signify anything. The 9100 was an 8500 and faster than the 9200. The 9200 was basically a 9000. The 9500s were faster than 9600s, and were just a cut down 9700.
These were just terms tacked onto to sell...
Apple probably left it off so they could keep it as a "feature" of the probably-already-being-developed B&W G3.
Dont forget their intentional and unnecessary G4 block in the B&W G3s firmware too. Gotta get people to buy them new G4s.
