So I thought when I got my SE/30 that it was an SE because it's in an SE case. The case itself, however, is discolored and not evenly. There's spots where the original color was preserved because stickers were on it or because maybe it was shaded. The front bezel also has a small crack in it...

I'll try to source this locally at 'the shack'. If they don't have it and have the original battery type then I might just put the old mount back in and say the heck with it :lol:
Yeah I've got them before. It's just that I can never remember seeing a button cell battery leaking or anything. A quick google search shows that you're right; they do indeed leak. I already have the two mounts switched so I think I'll give it a shot and see how she works.
I've got my socket SE/30 apart and just finished putting new caps on the board. I need a new battery anyhow since the one on the board says 1988 on it.
I got to thinking about it and wondered if there would be any issues replacing the holder for the PRAM battery with a holder for a button cell...
