Midi interface and performer for Mac Classic

---Just...Cubase. Problem solved. 8-) 8-) Thanks to everyone who helped, especially Leosadvs, Luddite and Porter. Simply downloading dtools75.zip from here, which creates a bootdisk with a minimal system 7.5 with no full-install required, did the thing. Cubase2.5.1r3.img expanded itself...

Midi interface and performer for Mac Classic

--Ok, I managed to get the Classic and install 7.0.1 on it. Does anybody know how could I get/buy/purchase a copy of the old Performer for ancient 68k mac or any other midi sequencing program that were in vogue those days? Note: Old Cubase 2.5. is known not to work within system 7.0.1. Which...

Mac Classic: Update from 6.0.3 to 7.5.3.

--I managed to «find out the truth»... Cubase will not automount in 7.0.1 either. So I am forced to update to 7.5.3, but within a 40 mb hard disk and having to copy the full 19 .smi files for 7.5.3 onto it (22,8 mb) leaves me with no space to install. So...any other idea? What is that and how...

---Ok Dog Cow, I will search for it. The thing is that I am trying to run Cubase 2.5 for the 68k mac. Cubase 2.5 for the 68k mac is known to run on 7.5.3, but I need to update from 6.0.7 to at leaset 7.0.1 in order to install 7.5.3. ---Does anyone if Cubase runs under 7.0.1? This way I could...

Yes, Leosadvs' opinion seems to match that. Chances are that with System 7 I should have be done... :-/ ...probably. I misinformed my system version. It is not 6.0.3 but 6.0.7. http://personales.ya.com/juanjavier_xxx/system_version.JPG I have downloaded System 7.1, and I have got a...

Mac Classic: Update from 6.0.3 to 7.5.3.

Hi everyone!! ;) ;) I have got what seems a tricky problem. I have got Cubase 2.5 which (still missing to confirm that System 7.x is mandatory to run it) under System 6.0.3. The thing is that I haven't manage to boot it from within a Macintosh Classic with 4 mb RAM and System 6.0.3...

This http://personales.ya.com/juanjavier_xxx/image_desktop.JPG shows exactly the same situation as your first image. **What*** do you open? The executable inside the cubase folder (called Cubase 2.5.1r3.img) or the one inside the cubase2.5.1r3.img folder, which is simply called «Cubase 2.5»...

That question is already solved! :-) So I ended up with a Cubase.sit file in the Macintosh Classic hard drive. Now, if I unstuff it within the mac, then this http://personales.ya.com/juanjavier_xxx/cubase_sit_unstuffed_on_mac.JPG is what I get. A folder called Cubase, which contains just a...

How is that done? I suppose I did it, otherwise, how would I be able to boot the program in the Mac? (besides the «insert cubase master disk» error...) http://personales.ya.com/juanjavier_xxx/cubase_error.JPG Which program did you use to build the physical disk from the image? I used...

move a 1479 kB .sea file from win XP to Macintosh Classic

--That's no problem at all. I still have the original .sea.hqx file. --That is what is this all about. ---But the Classic won't ever read a Window$ pc-formatted floppy with a .zip segment of nothing. :-/ If I make a segmented .zip archive and put the segment in different floppies (seems...

    Cubase Lite for 68k mac

Has anyone got an idea about where could I download Cubase Lite for Macintosh? AFAIK it is freeware, since the Lite version was released from Steinberg for free. I managed to setup a Macintosh Classic with system 6.0.3 and 4 mb RAM, and next week I'm supposed to receive a MidiMan MACMAN...

Midi interface and performer for Mac Classic

---That would be perfect. I have got System 7 on a Mac Classic. Chances are that OMS would be a far better option. I would be using the Mac with Cubase and a pair of rhythm units. I know I began stating I would use Performer, but I find Cubase a much better option for my specific needs. Where...
