Picked up a Quadra 650, keyboard, mouse, software, monitor and laserwriter all for $100.

I have stripped everything from the motherboard with the exception of the power supply and still no chime or video.

So I picked up a Performa 600 untested from a pawn shop for $15.  Brought it home, powered it on.  The power supply powers up, the hard drive spins up, but no chime and no video. I replaced the PRAM battery (93) and no change. I stripped everything off the motherboard, no change. I inspected...

So the 4M+ got the notirious PC Load Letter error message. I pulled out the JetDirect card, the PostScript SIMM and the extra memory in the 4+ and was actually able to print to it. I still need to install the HP drivers and find a way to get them on there, I am working on getting the 650...

Can you recommend a tape drive that would work with the Quadra 650 and a current PC, so I can get the data off the tape drive? The retrospect is I just recently acquired these and am working on identifying a backup solution, hopefully before any catastrophic failure occurs. Thanks

More good info Gorgonops.  Will the solution with the JetDirect card and the PostScript Simm Kit w/16MB memory upgrade be all that I need to make the 4+ work with the Quadra 650?

There is just one Mac, the console, that loads the games into the pods.  The pods themselves interface through the console through the A/Rose card (modified by VWE) using token ring network and an arcnet hub.  It really is a very fascinating setup.  I just hope I did not waste any money buying...
