Well in other cases my monitor shows "wrong / out of sync" but there's NO signal at all. tested it with another VGA adapter attached to the GFX Card now.
Just to be sure (maybe another exception?): Do BOTH outputs have to be connected? i.e. internal video and external (GFX board) video?
Hi Macdrone!
The card (if installed) "shows" up as second monitor. With a resolution of 1024x768. My VGA Adapter (hooked to internal onboard video) is set to multiple scan 14", i.e. 640x480 and 832x624. Both variants (VGA Adapter on Video Card at boot time and hotplugged after booting) don't...
Can't get this GFX card to run on both 650 and 700. So I think I'd need drivers. Would VGA Adapters work with them? Maybe I have to setup the VGA Adapter only?
BTW in Monitor settings a second monitor is shown, but can't get a signal out of it.
@uniserver
Speed:
Yes 700 = 25 MHz, 650 = 33 MHz, but it's maybe 30-40% faster (just a feeling), OS is/are the same 7.5.3/7.5.5 don't remember now exactly. The OS on the 700 is also quite new, the 650 is loaded with some stuff, did way more with it than the 700. It's my 3rd use of 700, yet...
Also got my 700 relived, what RAM can I use for the 4 slots to upgrade, currently I have 4x 4MB. Can I mix? f.e. 2x 8MB + 2x 4MB?
And what is the single slot in the middle of the board for?
BTW: The 700 is much more slower than my 650, how comes?
