IIRC, you need an extension to use a Zip100 drive with a mac, but don't quote me on it.
Here is a link with a download for the driver and tools needed Here
It also has helpful instructions on how to get the drive to connect.
Just don't quote me on it, I've only used a zip drive on a PowerBook...
Congrats, I really like my color classic. I got it for $2 dollars at a yard sale back in 2003, it had a dead hard drive at that time. Even came with a stylewriter and the original manual.
1. It doesn't have the correct number of pins(there are 44 or the adapter).
2. The WS/PDQ has a pin blocked, and the adapter has the pin.
Either way, not a total loss, since it works in my ThinkPad 600.
Got the adaptor, and it's not compatible with the Wallstreet connector.
I decided to use it in my ThinkPad 600, and it works great, so I put the HDD back in the powerbook.
Oh well, at least I'll get some use out of it.
I'm upgrading my Powerbook with an IDE to CF adaptor, and a 2GB CF card.
I'm mainly trying this out to see if there are any speed benefits, but also because my powerbook doesn't currently have a hard drive (had to put it in my thinkpad).
Now to wait for slow shipping from china for the adaptor.
When I had my 128k, I took a standard length torx screwdriver, and filed away part of the handle. It allowed me to reach the screws easily, and without having to order a longer one.
Yeah, but I really don't care too much about the display, It's mostly going to be used for testing other computers.
I'll probably replace them later on though, as soon as I can find rubycon caps.
UPDATE:
I got the display to work, I had to replace 3 1000uF 25v caps with ones that were 35v, and a 470uF 25v cap with one that's 35v as well. The only cap I wasn't able to replace was a 330uF 25v cap (didn't have it at the local Radio shack) but it doesn't affect the monitor or sound, so I...
I'm not sure if the pismo had this issue, but I remember that certain Macs and Powerbooks require the OS X partition to be on the first 8GB of the hard drive, otherwise it wouldn't be bootable.
I only have a Wallstreet II so I wouldn't be able to test it, but you could try re-partitioning your...
