The Quality of an Apple Audiovision Display 14

Any LCD spoils vintage Macintosh output. They just don't do justice to the vintage screen designs-everything's to crisp and neat. You need the "smudge" produced by a CRT.

See hidden files in Mac OS.

I think he's wanting something more like an extension which displays them all the time (at least when the extension's loaded).

    Macintosh TV sound/TV tuner problems

Mine does that as well! I've often wondered why... :?: :?: I'm not refering to the general flicker. There's a much slower "sweep" effect, repeating about once every 2 seconds, during the TV tuner demonstration. I couldn't quite tell if you were changing channels there or not. Then that's a...

    VCF Goodies!!!

^ I know that a similar procedure on the Quantam ProDrives is only temprorary-it needs doing every time you use the drive. Is it a similar story with the MiniScribe?

The Quality of an Apple Audiovision Display 14

My Macintosh Color Display has terrible geometry problems. It has trapeziod, pincusion, size, and positions issues, and there're no adjusters for either the trapeziod or pincusion!

    Macintosh TV sound/TV tuner problems

That's a cool TV! Just a few questions though: Why did it show the happy Mac twice? Why was the clock not set (I assume there's no PRAM battery, but am I correct)? Is the TV flicker due to changing channels, or is that how it looks when on one channel (I'm not talking about the strobing...

Performa 200 boots to blank or checker board screen

Aladdin's got exactly the same thing, and I know that her motherboard's never been through a dishwasher like uniserver suggested. What causes this?

SE/30 ram / hard drive... Giving sad Mac

Also, using more than 8 MB of RAM will not be recognised unless 32-bit addressing is used (i.e. MODE32), but it won't cause a problem-it will simply be ignored.

    Macintosh TV sound/TV tuner problems

I can't see why it wouldn't need adjustments (essentially the new capacitors have a different capacitance to the old, failing ones, so most likely it will need adjusting). BTW I would not say I would have ever described the sound of my late Quantam 160MB drive as "awful".

Need help pointing to strange video problem on SE/30

I've read about the "troll" matter on Wikipedia and would say with all honesty that I do not intend to cause trouble, but rather that uniserver takes everything I say in a very strong manner. I would be inclined to think that he is "trolling" me moreso.

There're 8 RAM chips soldered to my Quadra 605's LB...

@MinerAl I'm sure what you've got is enough. There's really no gain in potentially killing a logic board over 28 MB when you've got plenty anyway.
