I noticed your first program a few days ago. Nice work. I think small assembler apps are a lot of fun to write. I'm going to have to go find a cheat sheet for those mnemonics.

FWIW, I have no trouble downloading mac files onto a PC, copying them to a floppy and then using that floppy on my System 7.5 macs. Funkytoad, have you tried doing that (as someone else here suggested already)?

MacWrite can save the document as a text file, so I can do that, but I was hoping to preserve the formatting.

Anyone know of a good way to convert a MacWrite document into something modern? I have a MacWrite doc that I can read on my SE using MacWrite, but it won't convert it to anything but text (I'd like to preserve formatting.) I can't get AbiWord, OppenOffice or AppleWorks to open the document...

I'd vote for following Tom's advice. I wouldn't swap out the motherboard. If it works, keep it in there. The IIvx is such a maligned mac, but hopefully not overlooked by collectors. Despite its milestones, it holds no special place in my heart, so someone needs to keep one in stock...
