    New Monitor

I got a 1707FPt (same as his, just a little bit older revision) a few weeks ago and I can totally agree that they are amazing monitors, definitively the best I've used.

    What would I get? G3 Lombard decked-out

On eBay you might be able to net as much as $150, maybe more. The battery helps alot, as does the ram and HDD. Shipping international probably wouldn't make much difference, they're not exactly rare. Though I don't see why not as long as the buyer understands the sniping won't be cheap.

    Poofy emachines

    Possible Dell Dimension XPS

My GX1 did that too. Turns out it was bad RAM.

    S.M.A.R.T. Error

A bad cable would doubtfully cause a S.M.A.R.T. error. It's much more likely that it's just the drive; just because it's new doesn't mean it's not bad, or about to die. If you're not sure try another utility that shows more in depth reports of what's going on with the drive, it may just be Disk...

    Copyright date

Just now noticed this- the copright date on the bottom of the pages is 2001-2007, not to 2008. Thought someone might like to know. :)

    "Monitor with built in computer"

I remember my 5260, it was a pretty nice machine but it took too much space, and as I recall the monitor was kinda lame. The speakers were nice though, and the easy to access mobo and fairly easy to get to drives was handy. If offered one these days I think I'd pass it up, no space for something...

    Easy vintage macs!

I've always been a fan of lemswap. The rules aren't that bad, and I've gotten some really great deals and trades, and made some great friends.

    i need a new router

The early models of the wrt54g are amazing routers, esp when running tomato firmware, which is based of the linksys stuff but lighter with a better UI.

    I got hosed.

You wouldn't even need solder, just touch a hot iron to it and it would reflow good as new. Also, it's not a chip, it's a capacitor, which are incredibly easy to find and replace. (and could easily prevent the machine from booting, though somewhat unlikely, most caps on motherboards are used for...

    Several awesome conquests!

That, my friend, has the much coveted IDE to SCSI converter board inside it. Fantastic find.

    $26 well spent.

Oh man, NC state surplus is -amazing- great going with that stuff! I remember back in 97 dad got an SE/30, two SEs, two IIcxs, and a load of keyboards/mice/etc for $150. That SE/30 was my first ever computer.

    Power PC G4

A 400Mhz G4 wouldn't have an Airport Extreme card, it would have to be a Sawtooth cause the Yikes! never had an Airport slot. Also, OSX will run if you bump the RAM to 512 (it will work with less but is a waste of time) and halo will not run on any mac under 1.2GHz. Also the processor the...

    Pismo - $100 - Jump?

It will but will not charge the battery while in use, it has to be shut off before it will charge.

    Suns and another IBM

Oh man, nice going with the T20. Those older Ts are pretty much the best laptops ever made, I owned a T40 up until about several months ago. Great computers.

    AMD Athlon Tower

If I want an old clunky PC, I can drag out my 500/celly and have a blast. Unfortunately aside from ancient computer such as my macs and sparcs, I like having computers with alot of muscle so I dont have to be so patient. :D

    AMD Athlon Tower

And you're even close enough to preform a reasonable trade with, so I'll have to consider it ;)

cod4 on an x300? are you kidding? anyways, as I've said I've been using ioUT, as well as c&c g, bf1942, and a few other smaller ones.
