Compatible Logic Board and Power Supply for iMac G4 15" 800mhz model

The CPU is soldered down on all of those, isn't it?

    CPU Swaps?

The 9600 CPU will only work in a 9600 or 8600. But - every other removable CPU card from a PCI Mac is interchangeable.  The bus speed of the machines in that series are all either 50MHz or 40MHz, and both bus speed and CPU multiplier are set by the card. If you want confirmation of this, look...

    AsanteFAST 10/100 Nubus drivers

May I suggest offering it to the Mac Driver Museum as well, if they don't have it?

    Mac Portable Mods?

No, of course not.  You would have to use them like CCFL tubes - ie, mounted at the sides of a thin layer of light-distributing plastic behind the LCD. SMT LEDs can be had in way less that 2mm size too.

    Mac Portable Mods?

What about a LED backlight?  A strip of SMT LEDs in plastic tubing could be about the same size as a CCFL tube, and draw way less current.

    Bare-metal Mac project

One of my madder ideas (which I have an almost complete lack of skillz to carry out) was to try and port a modern embedded OS to the old Macs, like eCos, Contiki, FreeRTOS, µcLinux or suchlike.  Bigmessofwires has µcLinux up and running on his 68Katy, a homebrew 68008 computer, which is about as...

    Bare-metal Mac project

How about a VT100/VT102 serial terminal? And, now that I've read your blog entry ... How about a simple bootloader so you can load code directly into RAM from the serial port?  That would make the Mac even more like a honking-big microcontroller.

    Macintosh SE/30 without battery

You could use Applescript to record you opening and setting the control panels for mouse, etc, then drop the script and an alias of the Date & Time CP into Startup Items.

SE and SE/30 accelerators--discussion of new hardware development

The Coldfire and other late-68k derivatives have been kicked around here plenty in the past.  The general conclusion has been that they're just incompatible enough with mainstream 68ks to be a PITA, and expensive.  I think ZaneKaminski's approach of using an accelerated 68000/68030 softcore in...

68kTube - YouTube for Classic Macs

A Linux port of the server would be great - even greater if it could be wrapped into macipgw and run on a Raspberry Pi or similar. http://www.macip.net/

Color Classic VGA Mod. the CORRECT way

The two old methods for getting 640x480 on the CC have been around for years (decades?) and most people seem to think they look fine.

SE and SE/30 accelerators--discussion of new hardware development

If I might suggest a strategy to contain feature creep: Focus on the "simple" CPU accelerator with DDR as a single board, and give it a fast board level interconnect for later, optional daughterboards with features such as VGA, USB, etc.
