I would love that.
it seems that they bundled it in with the Apple Audio Extension in later versions? that or some USB support extension. it would be rather interesting to get this thing working on a non-G3 USB Mac; although the only non-G3 mac I have actually has a G3 upgrade and is in fact...
Welp, that 400W supply turned out to have a busted cap in it. good thing I popped the cover off before dropping it in-- it worked, but I had to be sure. and then I was greeted to blown nougat all over the top of a cheapo teapo! so pending repair, that's one PSU off my list. Anyone familiar with...
it came with MiniCAD+ 3.1 as a sample file. There's also another which is a schematic for a circuit with a small spreadsheet parts list-- I sent both to someone with both Mastercam and AutoCAD and it turns out the wireframe model does not show up and yet the schematic opens just fine. I'm...
The other day I picked up a Power Computing Power Tower Pro 250 after being tipped off that it was sitting without a pricetag on a shelf at the thrift shop.
Went to the back, got a $20 pricetag on it, went up front, hey, it's 50% off day! Paid $10 and left. Sat for two days. I suspected it was...
Not exactly what I was looking for, but definitely in the cards to try.
it seems someone made a comment back about 14 years ago on some website that Apple had a deal with harman/kardon that only allowed the iSub to work on the iMac and PowerMac G3 B&W, unsure if it'll work on the beige...
Exactly my issue! This is why I'm at least looking for the USB Audio Extension, which should be integral in most iMac and PowerMac G3 installs, at the very least-- Unless the features from this are integrated into another USB extension I don't know about. I know for a fact I was able to get my...

That's an xSeries, a completely different beast of drives for a completely different beast of servers.
The drives I'm talking about are SCSI 80-pin and are made by Hitachi. their model number is HUS153073VL3800 and the IBM FRU is 03N5260.
From what I understand, they were rebadged as pSeries...
not a Savvio, just an eServer pSeries drive. 3.5" rebranded UltraStar, pretty much. SaveMyServer on eBay sells them for mega cheap.
if you were to into a Savvio though, you could probably get away with using a 2.5" to 3.5" all metal adapter-- Rosewill sells one for $12 on Newegg with a thermal...
just thought I'd pop in here if you're still looking, I've had a lot of luck with IBM eServer pSeries SCA SCSI drives for low noise. I've just recently ordered a 10k 73GB + SCA to 50pin adapter to go in a PowerTower Pro 250 Mac clone I recently acquired, and I already own two 146GB's of the same...
I'm pretty sure this is the correct subforum to post this in--
I need to track down the Mac OS 9 Audio Update version 1.3, in probably the worst way. I have no USB Audio Extension on my machine, and all links that point to the file via Google or otherwise point to the downed file in the dead...
I did some more reading into this among other events that have happened and I've just ordereed a used, fully working 1152x768 panel off eBay.
Goodbye blemish spot!!
I wrote a lot of text, so I assumed making the wall smaller would help.
Noted that it's not the norm.
So I messed up my logic board while replacing it back in after extensively cleaning the green wax Apple called thermal transfer material. This was about a week ago, didn't do anything about it because I got it working, but it's still somewhat malfunctioning.
in my stupidity I took off two...
Faulty is how I got the top casing for this. the PMU board was just in need of a reset-- but it came with speakers, trackpad, new fan, an LCD inverter board, and airport antennas, as well, right and attached. I scored it for a little under $10 with free shipping.
I was looking to see if I...
I just recently liberated an original '01 500MHz Titanium Powerbook G4 from a relative in rough shape, bent bottom casing (seriously? bent titanium? How was that managed?) and missing plastic and cracks along such on the top casing... After some fiddling around with swapping HDDs out (it still...
Second on the DX suggestion, they rock for prices on just about anything you can have legally shipped to the US. I just got an original TiBook 500 myself, and I thought it'd be nice to do something like this maybe, sometime in the future when I'm more daring. Since of the black semi-seethrough...
that's something I know not how to do.
I have a simple multimeter with a 8v inside and literally no knowledge of how to use it.
Later on tonight if I'm feeling brave I'll get in there again and see if I can't get the numbers off the things... and if they're not dead due to heat damage when the...
UPDATE!
Opened it up again this morning.
Wow.
QL2 and IP2 on the analog board with the heatsinks were BURNING HOT. so I'm going to need to replace those, I guess. However, I'm not sure where I can pick up the parts. would these little guys on the end of these heatsinks be locally available at...
About two years ago I liberated a Classic II from a yardsale for $10, which included a mouse and keyboard (now currently lost, using an old late 80s mouse at the moment.) It had a strange problem where it would not boot, but would show stretched boxes and such everywhere. I put it aside and...
Actually, that might not be an SE/30 ROM at all. Perhaps you can tell us what it says on the ROM chip or your Q700 motherboard? who knows, you just might have a prototype there or something.
