I think there is a bad connector, solder or trace somewhere. I managed to get the chime and screen on once more but after a little shaking screen went black. Power card, sound card or the logic board?

I took the whole thing apart after RAM and CPU reseating exercise. The cap C67 next to the fan is slightly bulging from the top but no leaks. No cracks or burn marks anywhere on the PCBs. The only other part looking suspicious is the power card.

Yep, I decided to buy a 3rd part adapter for the G3 laptop. And because no-one wants them anymore, the shop keeper decided to sell me two with the price of one. :-D

I was filling 200x200px window with random noise and it seemed slow on my beige G3. I was expecting near instant without "scanline". Maybe I should create it offscreen first?

I have 45W A1036 charger and based on the label it outputs 24 VDC. But the plug is smaller than G3 Pismo requires. Is the 9.5mm plug used on G3 Pismo some common part I could find from electronics store? I would like to avoid buying yet another charger. I'd rather build a little adaptor if possible.

The iMac G3 was sold and shipped today. 32 euros plus shipping. I have to say I'd rather not ship any other iMac G3 again. Packing that thing properly was not an easy task. I hope it makes it to the destination fine.
