Quicksilver '02 with click of death?

Are you sure the drives are jumpered properly? Having two set to master can mess up the controller.

    Dual 7448 for MDD

Ok, now I understand. Both the QS & The MDD can get the top Dual 7447 (1.8GHz), albeit from different companies. At that point, the MDD simply wins due to faster bus speed. The QS seems to have it in the bag for ultimate clock rate / fastest 7448 with its 2.0GHz SP, which I'm guessing...

    Dual 7448 for MDD

I guess the MDD got the short end of the stick on upgrades. The QS is where its at. So, if I've got this right: Fastest 7448: Newertech 1.7GHz Dual Newertech 2.0GHz Single Fastest 7447: Giga Designs 1.8GHz Dual Giga Designs 1.8GHz Single All 4 not compatible with the MDD.

    mac68k NetBSD 5.1.2 Duo 270c

This is what I found that seemed relevant: http://mail-index.netbsd.org/port-mac68k/2004/03/02/0001.html http://osdir.com/ml/os.netbsd.ports.mac68k/2004-02/msg00045.html http://cvsweb.netbsd.org/bsdweb.cgi/src/sys/arch/mac68k/nubus/if_netdock_nubus.c Edit- How would I go about getting more...

    mac68k NetBSD 5.1.2 Duo 270c

I am not sure what that is. I installed everything but games and comp from the binary sets. (Originally included comp, but the partition filled. ~about 202MB) Even with a way to get the driver onto the NetBSD parition, without comp I do not think I can recompile the kernel anyway. So, I would...

    mac68k NetBSD 5.1.2 Duo 270c

The microdock is made by newertech (and/or asante). Someone did write a driver as named above, but I do not know how to use it nor how to get it on the duo with no way to mount the NetBSD partitions from within Mac OS, no way to mount a floppy, and no network access. (Unless I can do something...

    mac68k NetBSD 5.1.2 Duo 270c

Awhile ago I tried getting linux on my 270c... with little luck... Recently, NetBSD has proved to be much more fruitful. I followed the guide here and now have a working, bootable install on my 270c. (Only took three days for the duo to do the install ::) ) However, I have a few questions...

    PowerBooks & iBooks

Top of the Line WS, Top of the Line 3400, and [nearly] top of the line iBook G4... ...very nice!!! While PDQ is technically the proper name, Wallstreet II is also a generally accepted term. The PDQ is my personal favorite PB. Mine has run 9, 10.2, 10.4, and Linux without missing a beat...

    Stuffit .sit

You will want to find a version of Stuffit w/Dropstuff. I know v6 will create a regular .sit. When you have dropstuff, you can simply drag and drop folders to make an archive. That said, I personally prefer .tar.gz as it is universally accepted across the Mac OS, Mac OS X, and Linux/BSD world...
