    Macintosh ROM, 64-pin SIMM

Hello, I´ve a question about the 64pin ROM SIMM which Apple used in the IIx, IIfx, IIsi, IIcx, IIci and SE/30. Are they interchangeable on these models (even if they have different ROM sizes and some of them are 32-bit clean)? There are ROM SIMMs with different part no. (eg. 341-0655A...

Macintosh SE/30 logicboard recreation (thread revival)

Very nice to see that other people are working on the same project. Did you order the green PCB from JLCPCB with the backside already presoldered? If so, would you share a picture please? I´m not sure if should order five naked blue boards or five with backside pres. You did a good solder job...

Help to make IIsi PSU work for LC

The IIsi's power supply connections are internal, the LC models have a lead-out cable and different connections. So it has to be rebuilt. The size doesn't fit either. Would be easier to repair a broken one that came from the LC series.

Mac Classic: Swap analog board with Classic II

In my opinion 4.49V is not a good result, you should have 4.85V to 5.15V. That could be enough to get a flicker screen

Macintosh SE/30 logicboard recreation (thread revival)

You’re right - but no, I did not try to repair it, because there are lots of pads and traces eaten away from the battery juice at the RAM MUX chips. I will order five, you’ll never know when you need another board, and there are a lot of SE/30 macs with damaged PCB. Especially now when @Bolle...

Macintosh SE/30 logicboard recreation (thread revival)

That’s sounds great, in their data sheet I found „Rework - Removes QFP's, PLCC's, SOIC's, and chip components under 300 degrees Fahrenheit... 150C“. It’s definitely worth a try, thanks

Macintosh SE/30 logicboard recreation (thread revival)

@craig1410 Thank you very much for sharing your experience! I got a SE/30 with a leaking Maxwell battery from 11/90 which destroyed the logicboard and will place an order at JLCPCB with a green presoldered (backside) board to rebuild my SE/30. I already started with desoldering some chips, but...

Color Classic - Problem with analog board

Hello, my name is Patrick, I have two Color Classic Macs in decent cosmetic condition and some problems with both (one smaller, one bigger) and I hope someone could help me with an idea to fix both. The first one was working when I got it, I recapped the logic board and after a few hours of...
