AFAIK, the 7-zip format (.7z) was only made available when the 7-Zip program in Windows was introduced. I doubt that there's anything available that supports that compression format on anything released earlier than the release of 7-Zip itself.

Nothing wrong with them. I've got two, one of which is almost 10 years old and is still running strong as the kids' PC monitor for 3 years now despite the abuse (ViewSonic A75f). The one I'm using is a black one that has a nice crisp picture and I got it for free from a coworker.

I have a 17" CRT monitor sitting atop my Quadra 650, and so far it seems to be OK. According to that chart Dana linked to, the Quadra 650 seems to handle the 17" Apple monitors on top of it, so the ViewSonic monitor I'm using should be fine.
There's always the remix version. 8.10 also now has a MID version as an alternate installation (I wonder if this is the UNR).
