Hello MLAers! We've re-enabled auto-approval for accounts. If you are still waiting on account approval, please check this thread for more information.
I am really no expert but I guess the more the memory size, the higher the resolution / screen colors you can get as output... so why going for a lower one? I think even the first LC model can have a 512k vram... doesn't it?
Meanwhile, the CL-40-40 version of Interware Booster 40 sits comfortably in a LC III / Performa 450 which has a double length PDS slot (96 extended to 120 pins) :)
I am installing the card on my SE/30 (labels say Booster 40 and CL-40-40) and I see a connector on the back which I had not noticed - I wonder what for? Any clue anybody?
EDIT: this does not fit in a SE/30! the RomSIMM is in the way!
Now I wonder where I could put it :D it has a 120pin PDS plug...
I guess there are two kinds of interware boosters, one for Iici / standard pds plug, and one for se/30 plug - it seems I happen to have the second one so I think no adapter will be needed... I finally got ahold on a SE/30 so as soon as I recap the board, I will install the card and let you know!
Now I went and checked the email... and I found that these files you compiled @cheesestraws were in fact the last files he sent me after we discovered that the drivers he first sent were resources-fried. So even more definitely I am going to write him about this!!!
:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
I was about to ask to post them on Mac Garden - then you will do it when you are ready.
@cheesestraws I am not an expert, but I guess so. Never found something similar around IIRC.
@jeremywork yes I should still have...
Christmas came early!!!! Thanks @cheesestraws !
:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
BTW this is the PDF manual for the 24A that we had recovered in the lost thread:
Imagine this: I haven't been coming and checking the board here for... weeks.
Now tonight I had this idea, I came, I found the revived thread by @jeremywork and now this work by @cheesestraws ... I am speechless!!! and super happy!
Hey @cheesestraws you have my full attention now :D :D
@jeremywork you are welcome and even more thanks for bringing back this, if it is ending up in some good news... Finger crossed!
Hi! my card is probably the first in this pic:
And I never had it recognized by TattleTech or Profiler, nor by Orange PC software itself.
I wonder what should I check, meanwhile I got myself a Performa 630 Dos Compatible, and Command+Enter does the trick :)
Hey here I am, thanks for bringing back the thread @jeremywork . I got two BUG cards: Pickles 24A and 24AW - and it was me that tracked down the original designer mr. Shinbayashi who probably hasn't come back here (yet?) after the forum crash / reset.
I tried to fiddle a bit with the 24A / AW...
I am fiddling with 3d printing the battery case for a 2000, and in need of checking the backlight elements.
Just got an eMate which still need to be tested. My wildest dream would be to find a way to localize all Newton system software which as now only exists in English, German and maybe...
Indeed! The feature of loading the whole program in the RAM expansion is a killer feature on the IIc+ - you keep the DeskTop working and you have free drive(s) for more software to use.
