    Supercharge your eMac!

Sorry I'm late, completely forgot this thread existed. Seemingly you've overclocked to 1.33GHz; unfortunately these can't always reach speeds that high, so you should try 1.266.

    Katheryn's Macintosh SE/30 saga

Thanks! I'm a bit paranoid with what people think of this, haha... I will definitely consider a Rominator 2!

    Katheryn's Macintosh SE/30 saga

Hello!! If you don't know I'm simply someone who likes messing with old electronics. Back in March of 2023, someone in a Discord server I was once in was giving away some parts of their collection, and I was lucky enough to call dibs on a Macintosh SE/30 with a RasterOps Colorboard/264. Just one...

PowerBook G3 PRAM Battery—i moved it

Hate to necro a thread but this is INCREDIBLE! Dead PRAMs cause some stupid problems with these. Glad to see someone has thought of this; any updates on the project and where I could find something like this? -K

HELP! Damaged traces on UE12 pads on SE/30 board

I recapped an SE/30 a while back and then I decided to try re-soldering the chips that had corrosion on them which may have caused issues with the system not working correctly after said recap, and while I was cleaning up UE12... this happened... Is there a way to fix this or is my SE/30 doomed?!?

Macintosh SE/30 logicboard recreation (thread revival)

Where is a good place to buy a PCB like this? I have an SE/30 motherboard that's had some damaged traces and pads from neglect due to (very) bad caps and I'd like to save it with a nice fresh board.

    SE/30 PSU Sony CR-44 troubleshooting

I've already cleaned and re-lubed the drive. Not sure if there's a switch causing the issue? But I do not hear any noise from the drive at all... I noticed on my board that some of the solder was corroded which was likely causing issues so I'm re-soldering whatever chips had been affected to...

    SE/30 PSU Sony CR-44 troubleshooting

Funny because I worked on the exact same thing! The computer boots after I put a thermal pad in between the regulator and the PSU chassis, which is great. Only issue I am having now is that the system says that the disk inserted is not initialized and it tells me to eject or initialize, whether...

DLSD screen working on a PowerBook5,4 (2004 model)

Yep... and speaking of cables, you'll need a dual-link LVDS cable. Not sure if any titanium powerbook had one, let alone if there is any screen in existence of 1440x960 that uses the older LVDS connector... Plus, I wouldn't do *too* much to a TiBook. They tend to break often.
