The reason I asked is because both of my PB 540c hard drives fried and I'm looking for replacements. Sometimes they sell certain laptops really cheap and i might be able to pull the hard drives from certain laptops instead of just trying to buy a hard drive.
What kind of hard drives work with the PowerBook 500 series notebooks? Are they interchangable with other Apple laptop hard drives? Thanks for the info.
Unfortunately I was messing around with it last night and added a few extensions, that don't belong there, and messed everything up. Now my Blackbird is dead. I tried restarting with extensions off but it gives me an odd error message. I'm gonna have to format my hard drive.
No. No icon shows up on the desktop and the software that I have does not recognize it. Does anyone know where I might be able to find the software I've tried googling to no avail.
I have a QuickTake 150 camera that refuses to "mount". I'm using the QuickTake 1.0 software but it won't mount the camera so I can't get the images from the camera to my laptop. This is my first time using the software and the camera so I have little experience with this. Any ideas?

I have OS 8 installed on my PowerBooks but was wondering if it's worth upgrading to 8.1. From your experience is there a significant improvement from 8 to 8.1?
