iMac G5 Software Disks (more info included, see bottom)

I managed to get ahold of a Panther disk (thanks to one of my pals). When I inset it everything is okay, but when I hit "Restart" so the installation can begin, it give me a message saying that the computer cannot select the disc as a start up disc (or file, I forget) error (-2). Does that mean...

    It's mine, and it's home!!!

Ha Ha Ha. I recall that poll. I was feeling in a liberating sort of mood and I didn't know where to look except for the Trading Post section of the forum. Then a lot of folks gave me pointers and, whala, two weeks later I have a roomful of stuff (and a TAM).

I forgot to mention that the G3 has a DVD reader Drive thingamabob.

iMac G5 Software Disks (more info included, see bottom)

Our iMac G5 came with software disks, as all Macintosh computers. I took the "Mac OS X Install Disk 1" disk and I put it into the G5 (which now runs 10.5.3). Inside I saw the Install Mac OS X and Bundled Software. I popped in the same disk into my Beige G3 Tower (OS 9.2.2) and it popped up and...

    Power Mac G4 "Quicksilver" 733

Lucky, I've been looking for one of these far and wide.

    It's mine, and it's home!!!

I have to say that is true. (I've heard from sources). The kind man who offered it to me said that he fired it up only once and found nothing special about it, except for it being fancy.

    It's mine, and it's home!!!

I live in La Puente, California ( I see you're in California, also). I wonder if any of us Cali-based Classic Mac collectors and users can ever get together and have a chat or something to show off our gear. Yes, I'm a nice person most of the time, but I can be a real @!%$ when it comes to...

    It's mine, and it's home!!!

Haha, fool. I have no idea how to use Photoshop. You can ask anyone of my friends. I didn't even know what C++ was until two days ago. If you're ever in Southern California (and anywhere near La Puente) you are welcomed to stop by our little home and see the TAM for yourself. Good day sir.

    It's mine, and it's home!!!

Never mind the TAM being upgraded to OS X, I didn't realize that it shipped with 7.5 is it? Oh yeah... The kind man who offered it to me is a fellow Mac enthusiast (he's also the kind soul who gave me these). He thinks its a weird machine and said he was waiting for the right guy to give it...

    It's mine, and it's home!!!

Yesterday, I scored a Desktop G3 and a 20th Anniversary Mac (should I upgrade this one to 9.0 or OS X or leave it as is)!!! They're coming along with some ram for the iMac and the Beige G3 (tower). Both I have had since Thursday. Now if I could only find a 333Mhz processor from another "tray...

    FINALLY!!!!

Under About this Computer it says: Disk Cache: 4096K Virtual Memory: 128M(lowest)-1330M(highest, should I set it to this?) Ram Disk (when it's on at 100%): 130,048K Largest unused block: 314.6MB I can't find the Mhz.

    FINALLY!!!!

So, I can add more Mhz? I do remember seeing a Mac magazine that said you could add a floppy drive to the iMac. Will I have to ground myself to do any of this? I remember seeing the guy at the Apple store do that before adding another 256 stick to my G5. Is my iMac rev A or B, how can one...

    FINALLY!!!!

They're home!!! Today I got (for free): A Beige Mac G3 (9/6/1998), an iMac G3 (233 Mhz), a Macintosh Classic (June 1991), a Style Writer II(1992), two Power Computing Computers (one runs 8.X and has a 1.1 GB Hard Drive) and an Apple Color Monitor(1993). I think it's a good grab for today and...

    PowerComputing Clones

I'm being offered some PowerComputing clones and wondered if anybody can shine some light on me about them. I don't know what model they are, but I will, once I pick them up along with the other Macs I'm being offered. I might put them up for grabs here, but we'll see. ;)

    Mac Plus video

I have no spouse, being 15 and all, but I do have understanding parents and a mother with soldering skills (she's a hand solder). Now I just need to get the Cube and I have a Mac Plus coming from another source, which is coincidental. Thanks a lot! :beige:
