Hey guys. Lately, my iMac has been painstakingly slowwwwwwww (at start up, with basic functions, and online. I guess it's lack of RAM, but I'm not so sure. What do you guys think it can be?

You could put Tiger on it, but you don't have a DVD drive. Sure you need firewire to install Tiger, but there's a workaround (XPostFacto). I read on Wikipedia and I've had some people tell me that Tiger runs smoothly on it. I'm going to do it next week, when I get that stick of 512MB.

I don't know the answer (I can't afford much anyway).
By not perfect I assume it can either mean that it has a cosmetic issue or that it is faulty, electronically.
I was looking at a PRAM battery. Claims to be working. Is it safe?
I'd have to buy a main battery first though, I believe. The one it came with is dead (tried resetting it). Can anybody suggest anything or have an extra one I can buy?

I believe that's where one should look first. How do I copy it onto a floppy? I know it has to be an 800k floppy, but I only have the 1.44MB IBM formated ones I use on my Macintosh Classic. What to do? Thanks!
