    Performa 550 & Apple IIe card

    OK, picked up a brand new in package Apple IIe card of ebay and a used Performa 550. Current OS is 7.5.3. plugged the card in the PDS slot. inserted the IIe card disk (ver 1.1). started the disk up and it told me the IIe card was defective? any clues?
