I can understand the space and hard to sell part, especially regarding old computers - once they're older than 5 years at most they are regarded as useless to most.
The privacy thing is always blown out of proportion. Like the Goodwills here, just take out or erase the drive and off you go...
Yeah I'll have to dig out my converter, plenty of PC monitors around but just didn't know if there was a good Apple monitor from the mid-90's... and it's been working fine since those first few hours of non-red, so I don't get it. Temperamental.
I am really hoping that the Goodwills around here don't get that bad anytime soon... I live not too far from their headquarters in South Carolina, so I would think they would have by now, but maybe it's just a regional thing. Evil with computers it seems. They just strip the hard drives here and...
Well, I just had my week made. I was out this evening, when I hadn't planned on being out at all and was kind of not wanting to drive places. I happened to be driving past an old pawn shop I hadn't visited in ages, so I figured why not, I had found a $20 bill on the floor earlier so why not?
I...
(just noticed this may be in the wrong forum, sorry...)
I just grabbed a cheap 6400/180 (see post in conquests), came with an M2943 multiple scan monitor. All seems to work well, but on starting up the red colors disappear. Sometimes they come back on then they leave again, making the screen...
Yes, that's how it should be able to be done... however when I do that, it only goes back to side-by-side. The option for mirrored displays is grayed out too, which is why I was wondering if perhaps it needs its own software to set it up.
Anyone ever heard of this offshoot of Goodwill, called the Goodwill Clearance Center? There's one now right behind the "Super" Goodwill where I am, near Asheville NC (it's like a Goodwill Wal-Mart, it's huge)
Essentially, it's where the last 30 years go to die. It's a large warehouse basically...
I just got a SimplyTV card by eMachines for my LC 575. It works fine through S-video, which is what I wanted. However, is there a way to get it to display only one monitor/screen at a time? I know I can't do both monitors at once, since I only have 1MB of video RAM. But for some reason it only...
Yeah, I was kind of wondering that myself... I don't see anywhere it would mount very nicely. If there's some solution to that (which I assume there is?), I would be interesting in buying it off you. PM sent.
Something like this?

How involved is an install of one of these - does it looks like it's missing anything?
I have an LC575 with 7.5.5 and here is my question: is there someway to output video from the machine? Either through hardware or software. I do gaming reviews and want to do some classic Mac titles, but have no way to record them. I don't want to just point a camera at it and I would like to...
My LC575 has 68MB installed with 7.5.1 and stock components, I have never run into any stability issues at all - also then upgraded the CPU to a full '030 33Mhz, still runs great even at longer stretches.
My Blueberry G3's sound is entirely too loud, even on the lowest volume setting. Any way to get it quieter? I have to turn the sound down on each program, which is annoying, and any OS sounds are freaking overkill.
LC 575... that's actually the machine I'm using to upload the files to the site. :beige:
Thanks for the support! If you run across any oldies, PM me here or contact me at Mac Conservatory. Just found a good one myself, Space Madness. It's on the site now, and I recommend it!
Yes, I have checked.
Here's the file index.

And here's a game download page, for Oregon Trail.
