Decided to try something. I loaded a disk, placed the drive on the ribbon cable and used a qtip to hold the micro switch down. Got a floppy icon on boot with an X in the middle. Sigh - I have another issue to fix before I put a new micro switch in...
Quick question - is the micro switch on the left complete/whole? I expect it to have a lever like the other side. Don’t have another one to compare with.

Continued work on this - soldered for a temp fix. Drive is seen by my SE drive controller and when I place a disk inside it says its not initialized. It asks me "single or double" and I choose one. Disk won't format and the drive auto-ejects it immediately. I am 30 minutes in to the Branchus...
Well - this unfortunate mishap occurred. Thinking about JB weld to mate it back together and then either soldering wire from each joint to joint or scraping the solder runs to solder them together. Anyone have any opinions about best method to repair?
