as far as IDE implemenation goes.. on the performa 5200CD i have had an 80GB Sata drive connected to the IDE interface (with a SATA/IDE interface board in between) and its working fine for the longest time.. i cant comment on the quadra 630 - i guess i should just buy the board and try the mod...

ok cool coz yea all mine are green SAFT type batteries.. i never had a problem ever (knock on wood) how many macs do u have to own before this becomes a real issue? i think i have under 10 at least ;) maybe thats why im in the clear LOL
