Getting a Classic II on TCP/IP

Well, that sucks. Is there any way to share a TCP/IP connection to AppleTalk devices with OS 9? I have 9.2.2 on a Wallstreet PowerBook G3 that has both a wireless card and a LocalTalk port...

Getting a Classic II on TCP/IP

Is there any usable information on doing it with Linux? Is OS 9 not an option, either?

Getting a Classic II on TCP/IP

Fabulous. I've got a G4 running Leopard - are there any third-party applications for OS X that can handle this? I can also run OS 9 if necessary.

Getting a Classic II on TCP/IP

I've got a Classic II running 7.5.5 and MacTCP 2.1. I've also got an AsanteTalk adapter that appears to work. When it's plugged into a switch, the RX light flashes, as does the activity light on the switch port it's plugged into. Maybe I'm completely misreading what MacTCP does, but shouldn't...

    Classic II on Ethernet-LocalTalk bridge

I've found some forum posts on the DD-WRT site that indicate it does work, even if it's technically supported. There's also the possibility of installing the netatalk Linux AppleTalk package, which would allow for creation of AppleTalk zones. I do have an old snow dual ethernet Airport base...

    Classic II on Ethernet-LocalTalk bridge

I have a 9.4.4 CD I can use if running in Classic will work - my iBook G3 is running Tiger. I *can* install OS 9 on my PowerMac as a secondary OS, but I'd sort of rather not do that if I can help it. I use my PowerMac for testing the web applications I develop in the latest versions of Safari...

    Classic II on Ethernet-LocalTalk bridge

Even then, don't I need to create an AppleTalk zone in order for my PowerMac and my Classic II to see each other?

    Classic II on Ethernet-LocalTalk bridge

I recently acquired an AsanteTalk Ethernet-to-LocalTalk bridge for my Macintosh Classic II. It was never used by the person who gave it to me, and it looked pretty beat up, but it powered on with no problems (speaking of which - what's the voltage requirement on the stock power adapter? I'm...

    Just got a Classic II!

There's an electronics waste/collection place by my house, and every once in awhile, I check out what's in the dumpster behind the building. So far I've acquired a Netpliance I-Opener and, more relevant to this forum, a Macintosh Classic II. I got an ADB keyboard and mouse from someone on...
