oh, glad ...wasn't sure about posting this ...but it has been on my mind too.   ...I have been also toying w/ the idea of creating an application or game on a vintage mac for a vintage mac and distributing via floppy.  Not for profit or anything but just for fun. ...we'll see. ;)

That wood case looks really nice and certainly captures the era, I remember that blonde wood tone being used for office as well as home furniture.  I had a stereo cabinet made from that same wood ...with dark tinted glass panels ...man i'd love to have that w/ the old stereo. I like that black...

Did it!!! My two Mac's are now networked together!! It was the file sharing settings that I had not setup the first time (hence my initial difficulty).  I had a little difficulty getting both Mac's to see each other as registered users, but as guests the process went much smoother.  Since it's...

Thank you gsteemso, I did not explicity tell the finder to share a disk/folder.  I also have not setup file sharing.   Thanks/sorry if I missed some of that from the previous posts.  I plan to revisit this and follow your suggestions.

Is this something one should be concerned about? If so i'll plug my Mac's into different power strips. Okay, I plugged my serial cable between the two printer ports on my Macs and no luck getting them to see each other (using Chooser > Appletalk). I didn't have time to play w/ this more...

Wow, that is great to hear you saved one from it's ultimate demise. Yes, I always keep a lookout for vintage Mac's at yard sales as I drive by. ;) My Classic II has been getting a lot of use, it is a solid machine now, and runs great.  

when you format your drive w/ Lido you also get a nice selection of icons to select from.  I am using a very nicely rendered Mac Classic icon and Mac SE icon on both of my respective machines.
