Hi,
is there anywhere a specification on the physical dimensions of NuBus cards available? I want to create a 3D printed Nubus card which can hold a SCSI2SD (or ZuluSCSI) with the SD card available from the slot cover. As a last resort i could simply measure the Apple NuBus video card in my Mac...
Hi,
i just picked up a Quadra 650 locally which is missing all of it's RAM except for the soldered 4 MiB. As i don't have any 72 Pin FPM SIMMs around, i think of buying "Offtek" branded ones which seem to be completely new sticks built out of new components. Has anyone already experience with...
Hi,
are all B/W 9" Compacts using the same (e.g. interchangeable) CRT tubes? The CRT on my Plus is really worn out and i might be able to pick up one from a SE for small money, but don't know if it will fit. From pictures i saw they really look (absolutely?) similar.
Cheers,
Egon
Your better bet would probably going the PiStorm route, which is essentially a combination of Raspberry Pi and a simple CPLD with the former one doing the actual heavylifting. In the current state, only regular 68000 DIP packaged can be replaced by it. Even if it's a project for Amigas, someone...
Yes, the old and the new one both have ADC in addition to either VGA (GeForce 2MX) or DVI (Radeon 9000); But i don't use ADC as i don't own a proper display for it.
I solved the issue :-)
Solution
1. Boot the device without any system extensions by holding shift during startup
2. Install the latest ATI drivers for OS 9.2.2, obtained from https://gona.mactar.hu/ATI_Mac/#CS
The last step was done by formatting a USB stick with HFS on my day-to-day Mac and...
1. It's a G4 Digital Audio
2. Keyboard is plugged into the USB Port on the mainboard (the one closer to the PCB, don't know if it's USB port 1 or 2)
3. Mouse is plugged into the right USB port on the Keyboard
4. Monitor is connected via DVI
Hi,
i just swapped my GeForce 2MX in a DA for a (original Apple) Radeon 9000. The system boots into 9.2.2, but after it has been loaded, i'm unable to do anything with either the mouse or keyboard. The mouse can move, but no clicks are recognized. The keyboard does not work entirely.
However...
Now after i have put back everything into the case, i found out that i still have some issues ... eventually someone has a hint on how to fix these:
1. With power disconnected from the PSU, the batteries are drained at extreme rates. Both are drained from 3.6 to 0.2 V in about 24 hours. Both...
Yes exactly. The original PSU fan has a 2-pin connector, the Noctua a 3-pin one. The 3-pin one does not fit onto the corresponding header on the PSU circuit board. I built a little 3-to-2-pin adaptor from the additional parts in the Noctua box (extension cables, ...) and the original fan, just...
Thanks for all your help, he's alive since a few minutes :)
Cleaned up the entire board, repaired some eaten away traces and replaced all caps with solid tantalum one's. Also the Battery holders have been replaced by new ones which let me replace the 1/2 AA batteries should they run out of...
OK, this makes sense. In that case, as the "Apple II SCSI Card" was officially supported on the GS this has to be a bug in the MAME driver for the card.
Hi, i just started playing around with the IIgs (in Emulation) and have a few questions about this system, which eventually someone is able to answer:
1. As far as i understand, ProDOS is the base operating system with GS/OS as the graphical shell on top of it, similar to the combination of...
Now that i've taken Photos at high resolution and taking a look at it, some of the caps really seem to have leaked a little bit. Especially C14, C17 and C18 already have damaged the traces as far as i see. Thought at first that it was some nasty dust when i took a look.
Hi,
my Macintosh II seems to be dead in the water, power supply isn't starting up, even when using the jumpstart method of supplying 5 V between the white pin and ground. So my assumption is that the PSU itself has some issues. Are there any known issues with the Astec AAI3780 power supply which...
