So i'm ASSUMING the screen is suppose to be grey like on the right side. however those slanted lines won't disappear. I did turn down the cutoff and brightness trying to get a 'fine' balance between the two with ill luck. However i did adjust the width and height and made it more appropriate...
I think the analog board is just kind of fucked. That or the monitor is. I plugged the mouse in and whenever i move it around those white dots go nuts around the screen which makes me think that the issue is this.
The only issue is the floppy disk icon isn't frozen. but the ONLY thing...
Just a little bit. I put it back together like a giddy child only to be confronted with same dreaded screen issue. but the white dot flickering has lessened? it's not gone but it's alot less.
I know it looks shitty but i tested continuity and cleaned it up after that particular picture. Didn't have continuity before the wires. gently scraped off a little of the varnish for new copper cleaned with alcohol then flux then wire then tested and it had continuity where it didn't. That's...
Already ahead of you! looked up a youtube video just to double check. There were some traces on the Analog board that were kind of sketchy.
So i soldered some wires between them. continuity seems fine. Wish i was better at soldering but it looks okay! i think. maybe it's shit i don't really...
Alligator clip on screwdriver with electrical tape. put other end onto piece of metal that's grounded. slide it underneath the anode cap and stab the metal prongs that keeps it held inside. Prey to god it was the right piece of metal?
I work on pinball and arcade machines as a hobby/job so...
So something i forgot to ask earlier and was curious was if this was normal operation for the mac plus?
When the screen turns on and it loads into the floppy disk icon screen (with the question mark waiting for a boot disk) The rest of the screen is black and there is what looks like a white dot...
Aww! I know realistically it's smart to buy the SCSI but floppy disks would've been cool. Zig Ended up getting back to me so gonna funnel him over some money (or try to anyways) And will have him send me one of his fancy gizmo's
Would something like this work? https://decromancer.ca/scsi2sd/#zuluscsi
I don't mind external power i don't really want to modify the mac itself if i don't have to. Kind of just looking for the easiest/basic setup with as little wiring needed as possible.
Well it depends how much it costs. It sounds alot more useful. And i'm not exactly broke as i repair Pinball/Arcade machines as a job/hobby. But i'm not really interested in paying $300 for a adapter y'know?
