    Scored an XBox!!!

They say that because there IS a chance that if you are wearing wool socks on high pile carpet while stroking a kitty, there may be some static buildup and if you for some reason touch the motherboard while doing it, it could take a shock like a normal computer. I have known a guy who did it...

    Scored an XBox!!!

I have actually scored an original Xbox a few weeks ago. Modded it as soon as I got it using the "Hotswap" method. I also bought a 120 GB IDE drive for it off the classifieds and am REALLY loving it. The ability to save games to the hard drive and backup the family photos to it is great. XBMC is...

The latest mac build. A Mac Plus/Core 2/Color.

Do it right this time! Use an IO shield that isn't too ulgy (Spray paint it beige?) and don't do the "Shove extenders through the old ports" trick. Can't wait to see how this turns out.

    Mini-15 Display Port...?

I got an adapter from welovemacs, I never got a chance to test it as when it finally got here, My PowerBook 180c's hard drive died. Well, lets just say things get pretty messy if you don't have a torx screwdriver handy... I mangled a screw well and tore the SCSI ribbon. One day I may decide to...

    LCD Panel 19"

I love my 19" LCD, It is a Dell. Perfect size, Not too big to the point where I have to crank game settings down to be smooth, though not small enough to have to scroll horizontally.

    Welcome back!

This just doesn't feel right for a classic Mac forum. It seems too... Modern. I may learn to enjoy it, Though if there was a selectable theme for the older style, I would enjoy it.

    Server!

That is a great deal for something with those specs! Server 2008 should be fine. Run a web server, webcam, file server, a game server perhaps? Many uses for that beast. If you do any rendering, that may work as well.

    Acer Aspire One Battery

Today I checked the mail on the way home from school and happy to see that my battery arrived. Brought it home and opened it up. It is a 7800 mAh battery, a little big, though considering that the computer isn't that big or heavy to begin with, I am happy. The only problem with it is that I...

    Sony Trinitron Multiscan 420GS

I picked up a 17" Sony monitor for a few bucks at Value Village that was beaten up. It was pretty heavy though the picture was pretty nice. Needed it to complete a system I am selling.
