I have a Color Classic that I need to be running 7.1 on (not 7.5) but I don't know how to get anything on to it. I can use floppies, but most stuff is bigger. None of the browsers I can get onto it will browse to anything. I do have an ethernet card installed. I have fetch, but I can't find an...
I recently got this Color Classic and it has just started exhibiting this issue today. The screen will go from its normal color to purple (and flicker a bunch sometimes) and then back repeatedly during use. I recorded a video so you can see what I mean. I'm guessing it might have something to do...
Would this one work? http://www.ebay.com/itm/MC68882FN16A-Original-New-Motorola-Math-Coprocessor-68-Pin-PQCC68-32-BIT-/401048060467?hash=item5d6053c233:g:Um0AAOSw~otWgvQT
I received this Color Classic earlier today and after replacing the HD and adjusting the CRT, it works great. Too bad I can't even open the Stuffit 5.5 installer because it only has 4 mb of RAM. If anyone has an img of Stuffit 4.0.2 let me know because I can't find one online (I'm writing the...
I bought a Color Classic and it arrived today with a dead hard drive and a messed up CRT. Is there a way I can adjust it and fix it? The top and bottom of the displayed image look "bent".
It worked! Now I just need to replace the HD. Also, the power connector was damaged in shipping when I got it years ago due to a negligent seller, so for now I'm gonna get an adapter like this as a temporary solution:
Here are pictures showing it booted off of the floppy and the broken power...
Okay, I extracted the macbinary on the leopard machine and copied the sea onto the floppy and disk copy recognizes it! I just made the system tools 800k floppy using tape over the double density hole.
I thought that was it as first but I put it in again and it recognized it as 800k. My problem now is getting the 800k image on my 6100/60 as it doesn't recognize the images as any type of file it can work with when copied to the floppy from my 10.5 MacBook. I think it's because disk copy isn't...
Yeah, I've tried that but if I put it in my 6100/60 (which I believe can read/write 800k floppies as well as 1.44 mb) I only get the option to format as 1.44 mb even if the double density hole is taped over... Sorry if I'm doing something stupid but I don't have much knowledge in this area.
Good point... but still, it'd be nice to have another option if possible. I probably will end up just using them once as it's my only system with a non-1.44 mb floppy drive (unless the "new" HD I put in fails, but by that time I'll probably have a floppy emu).
