    thanks for the advice. Most likely I will run OS 9 on it. Most likely it won't be switched on for most of the time (compared to other Mac). Not that I am cheap on power, but it's very hot here, and I have to be careful with heat generated from machines.

    I got myself an iMac G3 500 MHz 256MB RAM for 99 cents (AUD) from eBay. (eBay lot link, screenshot) A bit dusty, but for just 99 cents, I shouldn't complain. (photo taken after quick clean.)

    Aluminum PowerBook feet?

    My PowerBook G4's feet are all intact. To clean off sticky residue, I usually use WD40 or ISO PRO. Spray on a kitchen paper then rub on the affected area off. Some suggestions: 1) Try different brand of stick on feet. Brand matters. 2) You can try this http://www.welovemacs.com/0761063.html...

    I have a PowerBook G4 (12-inch 1.33GHz, 1.25GB RAM). Leopard runs all right, but nowhere as fast as my Intel iMac and later MacBook Pro. I guess I shouldn't compare Intel to PPC.
