    Got me a 1Ghz 15" G4 Ti Powerbook

Nice once. I've been looking for that particular model recently. I hope you have the original disk that came with the machine, as per Apple Support article, it is required for booting up OS 9.2.2.

Which new Mac is the right one for me?

Thank you for pointing this out. I almost bought a 1.25GHz MDD 2003 recently. The main reason holding me back is the noisy factor. (For a long period of time, the dual 1.42 MDD FW800 was my main machine.)

Which new Mac is the right one for me?

If the silence is important. I would avoid MDDs G4s. The FW800 MDD G4 I have (1.42 GHz) is damn loud. Further, the power supply of it may not last for long. I know you said you already own a LCD display, however, an iMac G4 (up to 800MHz) might be your better choice for the noise and energy...

OWC Legacy SSDs Incompatible with PowerBook G3 Wallstreet

JDW, Thanks for sharing your experience with us. Just curious, what SSD did you end up putting in your PowerBook G3? And would those "Legacy SSD" work on other laptops such as PowerBook G4 or iBook?

    21-inch CRT Studio Display

After getting this CRT Studio Display, I realised that I made a big mistake. It was too heavy. Taking it home was a big headache. Anyhow, the photos: Next to it was a 20-inch Cinema Display (ADC). Sorry for on the floor position, it was too heavy to lift up to a proper table. The plus...

Power Macintosh G3 (blue and white)

Thank you for the insights of this B&W G3. This is really new to me. Back then, I was still a PC user and only used Mac in university. I bought my first second-hand Mac in mid 2003, and got my first new Mac in early 2004. I still remember how stupid I was, I ordered a PowerMac G4 (dual 1.42...

Power Macintosh G3 (blue and white)

Why? What was wrong with B&W G3? (Apart from I couldn't afford it back then, I was a poor student when it was new.)

Power Macintosh G3 (blue and white)

I picked up this Power Macintosh G3 (blue and white) today, something "450mhz Rev 2". With 640MB RAM and 40GB HDD. It came with keyboard and a power cable. All for free. Haven't switched it on after getting it home. Now, I need to find a monitor to test it with.

    PowerCD

No, and I have no idea what it looks like. No original box either. To be honest, I was not looking for this PowerCD at all, and I did not even know it existed. (I still buy music in CD format, but first thing once I reach home is to convert them to iTunes.) Anyhow, a good friend of mine bought...

Free iBook 366 Indigo in box + external HDs!

To use AirPort card (802.11b) on OS 9, you will need to enable WEP security. Also, WPA (not WPA 2) is only supported on OS X 10.4. Since WEP is not very secure these days compared to WPA2 Personal, you might need to limit the access by enabling the MAC access control. You can upgrade the...
