actually, i called the place i bought it from, and they said that they would replace the drive free of charge, i just have to take it in.

okay, so i took a look inside of my book, everything seems to be intact. i just now entered a blank cd-r into my book to test if the drive is okay or if it needs to be replaced. if that's true, i'll upgrade to a superdrive. also i noticed when i was in system profiler, i looked under devices...

i think the problem is inside the computer. last night i also tried to watch a movie, and it almost ate my fnf tokyo drift disc. once i find a small enough torx wrench i'll open it up and check it out. thanks for the help guys!

Hi all, i put a music disc in my recently purchased tibook, so itunes would rip the songs off of it. now the disc won't eject. any help is greatly appreciated.

FINALLY! IT'S MINE!!! one problem tho... i put a music disc in the slot loading drive to rip into iTunes. now, every time i press the eject button, nothing happens. i can hear the disc spin up, but it also doesn't show up in finder either... any help would be greatly appreciated
