not a classic mac, in a G3/266 PCI, because I want to put an actual SSD drive in but, you got me thinking about CF and adapters. But I think a 60GB ssd would be great, I am going to transfer this over to the actual CF card thread... :D
I was thinking about putting in an ATA 133MHz card, and putting in a CF SD with adapter (from China, of course), but was wondering if just using the built in 66MHz ATA bus or going with the 133MHz card would matter, as far as the Adapter and CF card go as far as SPEED?
Thanks
That's a good one, I don't have an old school "68k/PPC classic" printer to test on. I don't think so tho because I believe it's sharing only but I can't say for sure, because I have shown up on the Mac OS X sidebar in the finder.,,
I love your post elfen, but I keep hearing you quote these number about "How big is 68k Mac Software Library? A couple of gigs? Throw that number out the window DAWG. The whole Mac Library, is probably around 2 TB. I mean yeah your not going to use it as a server so if you installed every...
Also come to find out, if you have either a file name >8 character or with a dot extension like, MPW-GM.img, if you make it MPWGM and copy that over you won't get an error. This is only with Snow Leopard to 7.6.1, not Tiger, (Leopard haven't tried)
It's because of the deprecation of the old...
There's two things that make the 68k awesome to me. One is mac related and the other is "era" related. In the early days, the 68k chips we had, were what Apple wants their chips to be today, and that is QUIET, FAN-LESS, an NO HEATSINK, I don't know about power consumption, but were so much...
Nice round up guys! Gees, this was just a mess, and now I know why the sites don't get into the "Sticky" details...
(On a side note I did remember the SCSI internal was 10 MB and the external was 5 MB, which I always thought was weird!)
Thanks I really appreciate all these notes cause now I...
I don't care about wide or narrow or any of that old crap, or the throughput yada yada, I got all that.
I want to know when and which of the early macs went from SCSI to SCSI-2.
and/or Direct question:
Quadra 800: SCSI or SCSI-2
Quadra 840: SCSI or SCSI-2
Thanks guys, I keep looking this up...
If you connect to your 68k mac, via Snow / Leopard, and you get some -## errors, just make sure when you start your machine up, before you fire up Server or Shareway, trash the Shareware prefs first, or every startup, and it works like a charm.
Laters...
Yeah that's what I am working on, but I gotta figure out how to get "current selection" being that there's no AppleScript. I am not to worried tho, using the unix side help in these situations, rm is a little rough just because no "oops", but the other thing is I would have to determine if it's...
Try these utilities, I am going to for one of my 520s:
pramautorestore1.0.s..>
pramset.sit.hqx
I'll let you know soon if you don't get around to them...
yeah I am locked in to 7.0.1• with A/UX, bummers, guess I'll have to get to writing some code, cause it's really the only annoying thing, to have drag drag drag to the trash, over and over. ugh
But a project is a project and should be fun!
Thanks guys!
oh btw, Now Utilities 6 is loaded tho and somewhat works, Apple-Shift-Del works to empty the trash but not the Apple-Del to move to the trash, this is in Now Quickfiler, I wonder if I need AppleScript, can you load AppleScript for 7.0.1•?
Thanks tho btw!
damnit, in A/UX 7.0.1• it says "Cannot be used with this Macintosh" damn damn damn!
but on another note, oh hell yeah armor alley!!
gotta load that up!
Hey guys, I am looking for a desperately needed Apple-Del, send to trash extension for 7.0.1 (A/UX) or just 7.0.1 is fine, I am sure.
and as a bonus does anyone have a "StickyClick" that works for 7.0.1 (A/UX) or just 7.0.1 is fine, too.
Those are the most needed functions, by far!
It's so...
