I agree with this post. My 1.33GHz iBook G4 runs Leopard really, really well with 1.5GB of RAM.

OK, thanks. My Leopard DMG is still downloading, so I will let you know if it worked or not later today.

    Boot iBook G4 From USB

Only 4.7GB DVDs. The Leopard installer is more than that. So I need to boot from USB.

    Boot iBook G4 From USB

I need to reinstall Leopard on my iBook G4, however I have no dual-layer DVDs to burn my .dmg to. So, I need to boot from USB. I have heard that this has been done before through Open Firmware. How is this done? I might also need to install on my PMG5, so I'd like a method that works with that...

Running Apple Hardware Test from iBook G4

I don't think a dedicated Apple Hardware Test disc will work. Instead, you need the gray discs from that model of iBook G4. They have the hardware test on them as well as an OS installer. I was able to run the Apple Hardware Test from my gray discs with no trouble on my iBook G4.

    Imac g4 and system 7.6.1

I find Mini vMac is a good emulator if you want to run System 7. It isn't a PowerPC emulator, though.

    iMac G4 700MHz - 10.4 or 10.5?

Thanks everybody. I think I'll go with Tiger based on what you're saying. I'm ok with a little slowdown for Leopard features, however this big of a slowdown seems too big. Thanks!

    iMac G4 700MHz - 10.4 or 10.5?

OK. I find that 10.4 runs really well, though. If Leopard is even 60% as fast as that I'm happy.

    iMac G4 700MHz - 10.4 or 10.5?

Hello, I have the original iMac G4, 700MHz with a 15 inch screen. I'd like to start putting it to a lot more use, and that had me wondering about an OS. I have 2 options: 10.4, or 10.5 (unsupported). What do you think is best? I plan to do web browsing, YouTube (with PPC Media Center) music...

Best Web Browser for iBook G3 on 10.3?

2012 isn't bad at all, thanks! I will try this once I have Panther working again.

Best Web Browser for iBook G3 on 10.3?

iCab... OK, I'll try it. If I'm not mistaken that no longer supports 10.3, so I have to download an older version, right? I hope it's not too old.

Best Web Browser for iBook G3 on 10.3?

Camino only works on 10.4, however I have tried the older version that is Panther-compatible, and it does not work very well, sadly.

Best Web Browser for iBook G3 on 10.3?

Hello, I am new on this forum so I'm sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place. Anyway, I have (or had, and will soon) OS X 10.3 Panther installed on my G3 366MHz Clamshell. I find it to be much faster than Tiger. So, are there any good web browser options? I'm OK with something a little bit...

    Clamshell Wifi Error

From what I read, this is a problem with your Clamshell, not the drivers or the AirPort card.
