I recently acquired an Xceed Color 30 card and a gray-scale 30 card with manuals. I scanned the manuals and made PDFs. You can download them here if you are interested:

I finally have a conquest worthy of mentioning! I recently acquired an SE/30. Turns out the battery is all corroded and damaged the motherboard, and the hard drive is dead but I don't care, because.....it has an Xceed color 30 and an Xceed grayscale 30 in it!
Anyone ever recover from a...
Update. I have done so many things I can't remember, but here is the current status. All DIP switches are off on the card. MACtcp 2.06 is installed and I have the opendns server id's set up. I can ping from the SE to google.com and it returns fine every time. I can ping my PC, but it fails...
Thanks for the info. Too bad the DIP switches are not mentioned.
Since I have the camera out, I added pictures here:

By the way, all switches are in the off position, that is how I received it back when.

Thanks Wally! I just tried it with my 2 known working Turbo040's and I get the same screen that comes up when a powercache card is plugged in. Again, with the adapter installed by itself, it boots ok. I have ensured the cards are insulated from the frame too.
The screen looks like this...
Does anyone have a manual for the Shiva etherport II SE card? I am trying to get it working on my SE. The card that the ethernet cable plugs into has a DIP switch with 4 switches. I do not know what they control or what positions they should be in.
I can ping the machine, but I can't connect...
Ok, I updated my flickr photostream with better pictures: http://www.flickr.com/photos/gary_w/
There appears to be no flux or anything out of the ordinary near the solder bridge, but then again I am no expert.
The powercache card I tried with it has a 40Mhz oscillator on it, and a 33Mhz 030...
I have a Daystar SE/30 adapter, but it doesn't work. With a powercache card installed, the display goes all wonky. With the adapter installed by itself, all is ok. Close inspection reveals a solder bridge across a couple of the pins. Should it be there? Perhaps one of you folks that has one...
Thanks Charlieman. I downloaded it from here: http://www.eskimo.com/~pristine/appud.html#mactcp. I will let you know how it goes. I have a cpl of paying side jobs come in so I will not be able to get to it for a few days.

That's what I want to do. 2.1 is a patch to 2.06, which is a patch to 2.04, no?
This is making me nuts. I don't know what I did to "adulterate" 2.04! Can someone explain what this means and why it should effect upgrading in the first place!?
Thanks!
Gary
Ok, I am trying to update MacTCP on my SE. I am trying to run the 2.0.6 updater but it fails with "An unrecoverable error occurred while verifying resource DRVR 22 (".ipp") in the file MacTCP on Hard Disk"
From the accompanying text file:
What the heck is an "original" or "virgin" copy? Any...

FYI - Just so this type of info is in one place for future searchers.
Another resource for networking information is Tyler's site at: https://www.fenestrated.net/~macman/
I followed his suggestions to get my SE/30 online.
