Serious proposal: accelerator and peripheral expansion system

USB video out converters (VGA, HDMI, DVI) are available retail.  If you're running a *nix on your board, those would be an option.

Serious proposal: accelerator and peripheral expansion system

And while I realise it's a somewhat less grunty processor than the one you're looking at, I'll just drop in the BeagleBone Black here as a suggestion.  It's a ready-built board for US$55 in small quantities, with a 1GHz AM335x A8, two 200MHz PRUs (92 pins on DIL headers), 512MB of DDR3, SD and...

Serious proposal: accelerator and peripheral expansion system

bbraun has had some success with bitbanging the SE PDS - you might want to get in touch with him, and/or have a look at his projects at mac68k.info.  Particularly: Video out for compact Mac and Making a Mac Dev Board

Serious proposal: accelerator and peripheral expansion system

I'm astonished.  And very interested. Just out of curiosity, what led you to choose the Snapdragon over this one you mentioned earlier? I'm also sending you a PM now.  Check your MLA mailbox at the top of the page ;)

iMac G3 Installation Trouble- OS 9 to X

Any version of OS X is really going to struggle with 128GB of RAM.  I would max that out before even attempting an install to be honest.

imac g4 installing a floppy drive

Then yes, room-wise, but still only a USB one.  There's no circuitry for a native Mac floppy on any desktop machine after the Beige G3.

I've asked that question on the ADB Busboy thread, an answer should be incoming soon.

ADB Busboy: Adapter for USB peripherals over ADB

Does the switch short the PSW line (pin 2) to ground, or to power?  I forget.

    Shutdown issues...

At a guess there's a short somewhere inside the keyboard between the Power On key and the PSW (power switch, pin #2) on the ADB port (or plug, if it's a permanently wired cable). A quickie fix might be to make up a box to go between the keyboard and the Mac, with a NO (normally-open) momentary...

    SE/30 Overclock: Is it possible?

In a minority of them it is - most of them seem to be soldered down.  It's pot luck which one you get.
