When you installed 7.5 in the 6116, did you tick the option to install for "Any Mac"? It may be that the installer put in a version of the sound control panel that is compatible only with the 6116, and it is looking for the wrong sound input hardware when you run it on the 475.
The cheapest bulk dessicant you can get easily is crystal kitty litter. It's the same as the stuff in those "Do Not Eat" dessicant packets in pill bottles.
My understanding is that in systems with memory-mapped IO, you watch the address bus for accesses that will hit an IO address, and the processor downclocks on the fly, returning to faster speeds when hitting any other addresses. The added RAM would be mapped in place of motherboard RAM.
Huh, that's curious. I wonder if it's some kind of *cough* diagnostic port. The 210 was the first model and maybe early runs needed some debugging. Then again, there's probably no reason that couldn't be done via the PDS/Docking port.
I'll have to keep an eye out for it when I start in on...
OK folks -
The first 100 posts of this forum's index contain nine posts by Challenger 1983. That doesn't seem excessive, let alone CLOGGING.
Let's have a look at the rule in question:
I think in recent memory we removed or merged one thread by C1983 that was a near-duplicate.

Far as I can tell most of the SCSI PHYs on ebay and other parts outlets seem to be NOS (New Old Stock) rather than pulls. And there doesn't at present seem to be any shortage that would cause a niche hobby project like this to grind to a halt.
To OP - other alternatives include
- having someone else with a Jackhammer create a bootable SCSI drive for you, and sending it to you. (Perhaps a SCSI2SD if you felt like investing in one at this point)
- I *think* BMOW's FloppyEmu can mount a floppy image larger than 1.4MB, if necessary.
