Blast!! (and other expletives) Went to get this running over the weekend but the software won't run under 10.5.8, wrong version of JVM. Installed to XP running in VPC7, but won't communicate on the USB pass through connection. Looks like Ive got to get a x86 Mac into the work room.

Another iBook G3 & Problem Solved

Having worked on these iBooks, especially HDD upgrades, I say congratulations on a job well done. I must admit, I never thought to use duct tape to close up an iBook.

Floppy Emu: an SD Card Floppy Emulator

Slightly slower read/access times to me are acceptable. I'd be more interested in the disk image management on the SD card, preferably through a display on the reader, to drill through to, then select the required disk image. What are the chances this could expand to a HD20 (or any size disk...

Newlife Computer Corp CD308D Upgrade Card for Mac plus?

My thoughts as well. It looks like the SCSI connector replaces the battery cover, but I can't figure out what the other grey cable is. Is that a "green" earth lead connected to it?

TAM boot issues, appears to be HDD, any advice?

I thought the TAM could handle upto a 128GB drive, but the mounting points on the newer drives may be different distance part? Do you have another 2.5" drive you could test with?

    "Hackintoshed" ATOMs & OS9 . . .

Nothing wrong with Hacintoshes. My main machine (in terms of hours usage) is a HacBook nano (as I like to call it) which is an Acer Aspire A150, just recently upgraded from 10.5 + XPsp2 on a 160GB HDD to 10.6 + W7 on a 750GB. I've been using my Acer ever since the 1st Mac Air was announced...

    Another IIci ROM hack

I bought my copy from AbeBooks, where if you want something that is in good condition, the price is very "affordable" (cheap as) and some copies for more, that are described as "as new"...
