Here's a bit of an odd question. When I first got my compact Mac (a Classic and an SE/30) I noticed that the picture was a bit off center so I opened them up and played with the adjusts until it filled up the entire visible area of the screen. However I've seen on one or two sites that this...
Well my SE/30 is going off to Phreakout, but my beige G3 tower could use some work. It's ok, but the fan makes a horrible screeching sound sometimes and I'm sure it could use some other maintenance so I'm down for a Mac party sometime in here.
I totally forgot about Jason (Aftermac). I figured he was too busy with the kids and all. We should have a Mac party sometime in here. :)
I think I'll send it to Phreakout for him to have a look at since he has the time to do it now. I don't want to wait since if a cap has blown it's...
It appears that the caps in my Mac SE/30 have finally died. There were signs of trouble for awhile now such as no sound through the internal speaker, but when I went to turn it on today I was greeted with a screen that showed garbage every so many columns on the screen. The Mac itself is...
Ahh ok. So no matter what there's always going to be a little boarder right? I'll have to see what resolution I have it set to because right now it's playing in a window that's only a quarter of the screen at most.

Hopefully someone here can answer this question. I have a Mac IIfx with a RasterOps 8XL card hooked up to a 14" Apple monitor. Everything looks fine, but I've noticed that System 7 is being displayed at a very high resolution (everything is kind of small looking). This isn't a problem for me...
One of the SuperDrives in my IIfx is acting flaky. It will spit out a disk even if it's good, but usually it will destroy the disk in the process (make it need to be reformatted). It might just need some cleaning though as the person I got it from said it worked. Is there a simple way to do...
For the past few weeks I've been fiddling around with my IIfx, but I'm starting to wonder if I could put it to better use. I was sort of involved in the Apple II BBS scene (if downloading pirated games can be described as participating) and did Co-SysOP a few PC based BBS in the late 90's, so I...
Got it working. I ended up plugging it into an Apple IIgs monitor. That gave me enough of a picture (sort of) to figure out how to change it back. Wouldn't recommend this method though. :)
The only other monitor I have is a VGA monitor that I use with my G3. I do have the adapter that I could use, but I don't know if it would work with the RasterOps 8XL card.

I thought booting from a OS disk would help, but that didn't work either. Where are the resolution settings stored? Why doesn't resetting the PRAM help?

While playing around with OS 7.0.1 on my IIfx I set the resolution to 600 by something or another (640x480?) and now I can't see anything on my monitor. I'm using a Raster Ops 8XL card and an Apple Multiscan 14" monitor. It was working just fine at the higher resolutions, but now I can't see...
Yeah nothing too fancy. I just want to play games on it mostly, and maybe be able to download things directly to it via the net.
If only there was a way to use the Apple IIe card with the Nubus slot. That would be awesome...

Getting back on topic...
I have a new question: What are some useful Nubus cards that I should be on the lookout for?
I have a RasterOps 8XL video card in it right now, but that's it. I think I also have a networking card of some sort, but it has a coax looking connector on it so it's of no...
