I've heard the same thing.  Like I said though, the computers would be off.   Maybe the push button type doesn't work then?  I'll keep an eye out for a knob style one (or try a different push button type).

What does 7.5 offer over 7.1? 

What system is recommended for the CC?  7.1 or 7.5?  The system has 10MB of RAM installed.

Is there such a thing as an ADB switch box?  I want to use the same mouse and keyboard with my Mac Classic and Color Classic.  If there isn't, can one be made out of an S-Video switchbox somehow?  I wouldn't be switching this while the systems were on, this would be done while they are off.

As long as I can get files to it one way or another I'll be happy.  It's not like I'm going to surf the web on it. :)

Would I hook the CC directly to the laptop then?  Would that require a regular cable or a crossover cable?

I have an old Linksys WRT54G with DD-WRT installed that I use as a switch.  I wonder if that will work or if I can configure it to work? Could I hook the CC directly into my G4 Laptop somehow then?

Ah, that's getting later than I generally care about anyway.  That was a dark time for Mac gaming when most things were just PC ports.  I like to play Mac specific games (otherwise I just use my DOS system).

Sounds like I'm better off just sticking with 6 and using that second partition for even more games.

My Classic has 4MB. Well I only use the Classic for gaming, but I've only looked into System 6 games because I assumed all the games that required System 7 or greater wouldn't work on an old B&W compact Mac.  

Isn't System 7.5 really slow an a 68000 machine?
