I found a 120GB drive which should work just fine.  I was going to make two 60GB partitions and put OS 9 and X on them so I can easily dual boot with the Option key. 2TB drive?  What the heck are you using all that space for?  I don't have 2TB of storage on my modern PC!

Will any standard IDE hard drive work in a iMac 3G?  Are there certain brands that I should avoid? I want to replace the 40GB HD in mine.

Will a USB 2.0 switch box work with early Mac USB keyboards and mice (which are not 2.0)? I want to use my mouse and keyboard with two different Macs (an iMac and Cube) but all the USB switch boxes I see are 2.0. I assume it's all backwards compatible.

Oh I have a Beige G3 Tower I use for that.  I was just hoping I could put it away and use the iMac, but I guess not.

I didn't realize the iMacs were prone to overheating.  I had never heard that before. 

Do many OS 9 games require acceleration? I'm thinking that the iMac is the way to go honestly.  Maybe it's time to sell the cube?  How much do they normally go with a 6200?

I own two Macs and I want to know which would be better for OS 9/X gaming? A 600Mhz iMac G3 or a 450MHz G4 Cube? The Cube has a GeForce 6200 card and 1.5GB of memory. I'm not sure what the iMac has only 128MB of RAM but I can upgrade that.   My gut says the G4 cube, especially for OS X stuff...

Yeah I need to check if I still have one of those.  The liquid probably dried up decades ago, but that was basically just rubbing alcohol anyway.

No I haven’t as I’m not sure how to take the drive apart to even attempt to clean it.   I think I have a lead on a replacement 800k drive but if that falls through I may take you up on your offer.  I think a 1.44mb drive will work in the se as a 800k drive if I’m not mistaken.

I fixed the bad looking solder joints on the neck board, but I didn't see anything obvious on the analog board.  Everything was looking good so I was just about ready to put it all back together again and of course something happened.  Now the upper right corner of my screen is slightly pulled...

I had to remove the cardboard insulator pieces from my Macintosh Classic while I repaired it.  Now I'm putting it back together, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to put it back on.  The little black tabs I removed don't want to go back through the holes.  How do you get them back on?
