Found the US English updaters on Macintosh repository.
With the assistance of OS9 helper, updated to 9.2.1, did the old world rom firewire patch, and then updated to 9.2.2. We are current o OS9!!
Fun stuff....only took me most of the afternoon in between work items. lol
I read that much and think this might be the case... the updaters available on Macintosh Garden seem to be International English.
Anyone who were i can find 9.2.1 and .2 North American updaters?
Hey thanks for looking!
Tried to Install 9.2.1 with OS9 helper, but no dice, got the old "The version of Mac OS can not be installed over the localized version of Mac OS on the Disk named "Ricks HDD". Please choose a different destination disk, or perform a clean installation."

I have two VCR's hooked up in my house and pick up NOS tapes all the time, or ones in good shape.
They still look okay on smaller screen, and some movies never made it to DVD or just seem a good fit for analog. Craigslist is a good place to find VCR's for reasonable prices in one owner...
Found the original processor online as well:

Pretty tempted to grab it just for posterity's sake.
So John is hooking me up with a Mic and a Yamaha SCSI CD-R drive to replace my current.
Spent some time yesterday cleaning 20 years worth of dust out of the case...you wouldn't have believed the amount of dust in this thing. SICK levels of grime...haha.
Tested the AV ports and played some...
Great; thanks John, i'll take it. Wonder if i should bother to run another SCSI cable from the motherboard (believe there is a second SCSI port), or just unplug my non CD-R drive and use that one since it will be my primary drive anyway.
Awesome find! I have spent some time in my parents basement looking for my Performa 450, but no luck! My mother has no recollection what she did with it sadly.
Amazing how old macs just work most of the time, and at decent speeds too. Most PC's are good and dead after 10 years.
I'm looking to replace the dead IDE CD-R drive in this unit; can anyone help me find something suitable off the bay?
Maybe even a IDE DVD-R/-RW drive? Thanks for your input. For example; any reason this one wouldn't work...
My little mic does not work apparently. Tried all the input settings under Sounds and attempted to record and nothing. Interesting.
@LaPorta I'll take you up on that if you have an extra Plaintalk mic. To be clear there is only a single 3.5mm mic input in the back of my machine.
You have an extra 3 directional PlainTalk Mic? I think that is period correct for this machine. I'll test my 68k model tonight and get back to you asap.
Not a bad idea! Would be a long 3.5mm extension cord, but 2000w 7.1CH surround sound might be fun for doom :D haha. I do have kids and...
Thanks all! Was wondering about the microphone myself....I know it's a gen older, but it uses the 3.5mm input jack on the back so i would think it works barring a software incompatibility?
Anyone have an idea of a good basic program to test the mic? Thanks.
For sure. Actually have a boxed ImageWriterII handy. Sure it works (those things are tanks) probably just needs a new ribbon. Maybe i'll give that a whirl just for fun even though it isn't period correct.
Was mac still making printers in 1997? I forget what year they gave up on that....lol
What would be an easy printer to get working on this machine? Anything I can find in the chooser with existing drivers?
Got my Clarisworks 5 updated to Apple Works 5, ready to do some word processing!
