Thanks everyone! Will give these a try tonight!
Found this also which should be helpful:

Well.....sad news folks.
I tilted my TAM forward last night to re-seat the RAM dimms (only reading in system profiler as 64 MB, despite 2x 64mb dimms) and when I up-righted it again and turned it on I found that my screen refuses to work/turn on.
I tried restarting it probably a dozen times...
Whats the maximum video card that you'd want to use on a TAM with 9.1 and 128 mb ram? I have an extra ATI Radeon 7000 32mb card that I was going to use in my cube but decided against because it doesn't fit properly. Would that be excessive? Whats the ideal video card for a TAM?
Thanks!
Interesting RE the 6400/6500 dual riser:
"The riser card has no logic, no PCI bridge; it's a simple PC board with traces"
and so:
"The lack of bridge is what I needed because of the TAM/6500/6400 firmware bug preventing additional PCI bridges without a patch."
So I could theoretically use...
Having trouble finding the following:
-pci angle adapter from a 6400 or 6500, or even a 6360
-3.5 Floppy drive from powerbook 3400
Anyone have any ideas where I might locate these parts?
128 RAM is now installed, TAM is running like a top! Have been playing some games on it but as soon as I...
I think the drive is busted because I tested it with my G3 Pismo under 9.2.2 and 10.4.11 and no disks would pop up on the desktop. Bummer.
At least I got a refund from the ebay seller and my hunt for an external DVD-R drive that will also play DVD movies continues...and/or my search for a...
I also wanted to mention I got a $250 refund from the seller for the floppy drive not working and the few pieces that had chipped off (which I was able to repair to like new with crazy glue.)
So all being told I paid $725 for this TAM, which I don't think is so bad.
My RAM and USB card get...
I will check, thanks for the ideas guys.
Where would you get drivers for something like this for OS9 these days? Checked The Macintosh Repository drivers page but no luck. Will have to check Mac Garden..
Interesting. I will check that out. NTSC-J should still work with US signals. The consoles were definitely working the NES got a black screen and the SNES blue, I'll try via S video as well.
Apparently the TAM does not like video games....lol. I tried hooking up my NES and SNES to the RF TV in on the TAM and only got black or blue screens. My systems are very well kept and I even tried adjusting the resolutions to the systems native output. Wonder what the deal is with that...
The internal DVD drive on my cube died on my and I picked up one of these EZQuest Boa FireWire DVD-RW drives. Its a firewire drive and plugs right in but no discs or DVD's will pop up on my desktop.
Do I need drivers for this beast? My assumption is that in 9.2.2 it should be plug and play...
Just came in today! I noticed it really doesn't like burned CD's haha. Tried to install some programs from my OS9 Kitchen Sink disk but had errors and "bad media" warnings get in my way. Also, my floppy drive isn't working, appears to be engaged even though no 3.5 is inserted and won't accept...
Thank you, much appreciated. And I suppose any old brand of Compact Flash will do, or has it been found that some are more reliable and/or work better with Macs?
Sorry for the twenty questions, I adhere to the measure twice cut once mantra.
Thanks! Just ordered two 64mb RAM dimms from the above link. They will get here the 25th same day as my TAM :)
Haplain- Can you recommend an IDE>CF card that will work well with the TAM and specific size of CF (up to 120 with OS9.1 correct, so go for a 128GB and lose the 8GB as...
Thanks for the tip I will keep an eye out for a M0401
I do want a base, though I know what you are getting at from a visual standpoint. I want the base for two reasons:
-Nostalgia (had one with my Performa 450 growing up)
-Ergonomics-I'm 6'5 so actually having the monitor up a bit help me to...
I hate to jump to only conclusions because it's only been a day or so...but i've had zero problems since doing the above mod.
How ghetto is that mod by the way! A piece of paper and two strips of electrical tape haha.
Well....whatever works. At least you can't see it on the outside.
