bin/cue is usually the best (open) format when dealing with hybrid discs that have both data and audio tracks. WinWorldPC recommends using ImgBurn for making bin/cue images on Windows.
Are you trying to play from the image itself virtually mounted, or is it that any burned discs you make from...
Sounds like an awesome project!
Please do keep us up to date on your progress. It would also be neat to see a repository of any code you make for the project, for preservation/collaboration/etc. ;)
Is this the video you were referring to?

In the video he's using a terminal emulator such as ZTerm to talk directly to the Arduino via the Mac's serial ports.
The best resource for programming on the Macintosh would be the Inside Macintosh books from Apple.
Inside Macintosh: Devices has a chapter on Serial Drivers/Communications (Ch 7)
HTML Version of Chapter 7

The Option key method only works if Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X are installed on separate partitions. If they are installed on the same partition, then it will only display the "blessed" OS on that partition. Still, it should have at least displayed the boot menu, odd that it didn't.
The OP mentioned...
You already have two previous topics (here, and here) to which you asked this question and people have already given several suggestions.
The forum rules discourage creating multiple topics on basically the same subject. It would be better to continue the conversation/question in one of your...
Yes, the PowerMac 6100 won't boot up properly without a working PRAM battery.
If you ever find yourself without a working PRAM battery, you can do the power toggle trick.
Turn it on for a sec, then quickly turn it off and back on again. Should get the video working and booting up normally...
If you already have some form of broadband internet (cable, dsl, etc) then the modem is pretty much useless unless:
You are actually dialing an ISP or a remote computer.
You are manually "calling out" and "picking up" on 2 machines whose modems are directly connected by a phone cord.
If you...
It sounds like you have the PowerBook G3 (Wallstreet.) If it is, then it should also have an Ethernet port as Bunsen mentioned.
The LocalTalk Bridge software will only route AppleTalk packets. You'll want to use IPNetRouter and configure it to use MacIP (TCP/IP over AppleTalk) in order to get...
Yup, both the Raspberry Pi and the Orange Pi can use the GPIO pins for a serial port.
Here's info on setting it up on the Orange Pi: http://www.orangepi.org/orangepibbsen/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=921&highlight=gpio
Technically you can use two modems and get them to talk to each other by manually "dialing out" and "picking up" on each respected end. You can transfer files on the Mac Classic with something like ZTerm.
If you're trying to get an ethernet connection on the Mac Classic for networking...
If you're looking to emulate a 68k or PCC Mac for emulation, you can always look at Basilisk II (68k) or SheepShaver (PPC). Granted it wouldn't be an interleaved environment, but it does the job.
Fractal generators have huge benefits when it comes to computer graphics, such as modeling landscapes, coastlines, river networks, lightning bolts, ocean waves, snowflakes, etc.
Fractals also occur in other natural phenomenons...
Either one of these should do the job just fine: http://www.ebay.com/itm/191252926653?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Though the webpage only lists as low as Mac OS 8.6, when the installer is launched the embedded readme indicates it works with as low as Mac OS 7.5.
D'oohhhh... I didn't realize there were ROM SIMMs to pull out. (Would have done so otherwise.) Once I picked up a smaller, faster LJ2100 I just wanted the 4+ gone. :p
