    Netatalk SD Card Image?

I've never done that in VB but I did find this tutorial that seems like it is on target: https://averagelinuxuser.com/virtualbox-shared-folder/

    Netatalk SD Card Image?

I don't see why not.  You just have to point Netatalk to the proper path, wherever it is in the file system.  I haven't tried System 6, but if it works System 7 I don't see why it wouldn't work for 6.  And it definitely works for Mojave and Catalina too.  I was having major problems last week...

    475 boots but then hangs

And the winner is ... TechTool Pro.  I ran it, it repaired some but not all of the stuff wrong with the hard drive, and it boots again.  Thanks for the tip @jessenator.

    475 boots but then hangs

I've got a stock 475 that up until recently, worked perfectly.  It has the original HD in it.  Now, when I boot, right before it is done, a dialog pops up that never fully displays, and the mouse freezes.  I've tried starting with extensions disabled, same thing.  I've checked the startup folder...

ADB to Macintosh Plus Keyboard cable mod?

Oh crap, I read them wrong.

    SCSI2SD v5.5 and the Mac SE/30

I find assigning just one SCSI I’d and partitioning for multiple volumes makes things much easier for avoiding I’d conflicts when using multiple devices, and essentially gives the same result.

ADB to Macintosh Plus Keyboard cable mod?

    PowerBook 550c SCSI2SD internal with SCSI2SD external

This IDE / SATA to USB adapter has a nice compact power supply for supplying the SCSI2SD units, and, if memory serves me, even comes with the adapter to convert to the floppy type power fitting.  Only $20.24...

    Setting up SCSI2SD 4.2 for SE/30

One of my pet peeves about the SCSI2SD utility is that it is too easy to accidentally select save to device rather than load from device in the menu, meaning, if I want to first read the config from a device, inspect and modify it and then write it, more than one time I've accidentally written...

    Setting up SCSI2SD 4.2 for SE/30

Does the v6 actually write the partition table too?  My understanding is that the only difference with the v6 is that it stores the SCSI2SD configuration the card instead of some flash memory on the SCSI2SD board, but the partition table and volumes are still written by the tools on the vintage...

    Setting up SCSI2SD 4.2 for SE/30

Yes, but it only mounted the original 64GB volume, not the 2GB volume he was expecting.  That's because no new volume has yet been written I surmise.  Unless I misread something.

    Setting up SCSI2SD 4.2 for SE/30

Very true.  But I've never had issue with mounting volumes using the SD card directly as mentioned above.  This is as expected.  What you did is simply create a raw SCSI drive using the SCSI2SD utility.  You now need to partition and format using HD SC Setup (patched), Lido, or some utility so...

    Macintosh Plus Chirping Noise

I was working on a Mac Plus with 030 upgrade the other day and it had an analog board issue.  I was adjusting the video image size on the board and the video started cutting out.  Then it cut out completely.  Then I noticed that pressing on the analog board at a certain point slightly towards...

    LC 475 installation woes

Okay, as per Jag's House page, opening and closing the system folder a couple of times re-blesses it.  Not sure if this works for early than 7.6, but I'm glad to know the trick.  Next challenge ... after upgrading to 7.6.1, the option to have resolutions higher than 640x480 has disappeared from...

    LC 475 installation woes

Ok, I booted from the OS 7.6 CD.  Looks like what happened is that after installing the 7.6.1 update, the system folder became unblessed.  It just so happened that the timing was just before I put the top on the 475 so that was a red herring.  How the heck to I bless it again?

    LC 475 installation woes

Oh brother, this is what kills me about this hobby.  I put the cover on and now the 475 doesn't recognize the SCSI2SD at all.  I get a quick blink on the activity light on the SCSI2SD and then some time later the Mac informs me it doesn't have a startup volume.

    LC 475 installation woes

Alrighty then.  Got the Farallon card installed and the machine is on the network.  That was much easier than I imagined.  I'm a little curious though, in the chooser, my a2server doesn't show up.  On my Mac Mini running 9.2.2 I had the same problem and had to browse to it by IP address.  But...

    LC 475 installation woes

Next up, gonna try and install the LC PDS Ethernet card and see if I can get it talking to my a2server to install more stuff.
