So to be clear, do you mean removing the chips? and then using toothbrush?  

How would one go about doing that? edit:  I guess the I/C's are through hole soldered, or however you call it, right?  So I would need to remove them and then clean under, and then re solder them in place?  Which I/C's?? All of them?? haha

Yah, I actually got the old caps out no problem, alternating between pins while slightly pulling the cap out.  They all came out relatively easily.  I DID just order new caps from mouser..  this is for an intel iMac. I appreciate all the input!

I see a typo.. second picture should have the caption 6.3v 1800uf, not 6.3v 1000uf
