The display definitely is not bad. It's just funny my 17" MacBook Pro's display is higher resolution.

For a 10 year old LCD it's not bad. It's massive and the resolution isn't as high as I'd wish for such a massive panel, but it's not bad.

I wasn't aware Titanium PowerBooks had those GPU issues. That could explain why mine sometimes boots without video but if I fool around with it and move it around and flip it over a couple of times it sort of works for a bit. Shame it's a nightmare to take the logic board out of those.

I think it lasted a few months. It was just a broken hinge like yours.

I did this with mine a year or so back (with JB Weld) and actually reinforced it much more than you did and it still didn't last very long. Opened it up one day and SNAP.

Give me your serial number and I might be able to help with info on the LCD. By the way the easiest way to check if the line is in the display or not is to take a screen shot. If it's not in the screen shot, it's the panel. I can look up EEE codes and see what other models had compatible LCDs.
