Help with Asante Ethernet card & Macintosh IIci

Hello everyone, About a month or so ago I got a Macintosh IIci for free on Craigslist. It happened to include a IIci Cache card, XILINX NuBus video card, and an Asante NuBus ethernet card. The video card doesn't seem to work although I may not have things setup right or have the right software...

    Mac 512k Help

Thanks for all the help guys! The System 7 formating trick worked fine. I only could find a very old system - 2 I think. But it worked, even with the external drive. :)

ImageWriter - Compatible with which Macs?

Hey guys, I have an original ImageWriter from 1984 (photo here). It actually still works! I found the ribbon "ink" for it at Staples (2 packs for $15) and some old paper. The printer works fine in Windows XP using an old C. Itoh 8510 driver, using a COM1 to 25-pin Serial (looks like SCSI)...

    Mac 512k Help

Oh ok, any idea how to format a 800K disk as a 400K disk on a Macintosh IIci? The only options I see are: Macintosh 800K, DOS 720K, and ProDOS 800K.

    Mac 512k Help

Hey guys, I have a Macintosh 512k machine and a 3.5 Floppy Drive (from my Apple IIgs items). I read that this Mac has a 400K floppy drive built-in, and that the external drive I have can read 800K disks. So I downloaded a System 4.2 disk with Finder 6.0 - made the disk image of that onto an...

    My Apple IIgs

Yeah, and I just saw a similar GS-RAM card go on eBay for around $80. Of course I'd test these before selling them. I'd probably get around to testing them in a few weeks since things with work have been busy. After I get everything tested I'll create a proper selling post. Thanks for your...

    My Apple IIgs

Well I may sell these cards by themselves, I think I'll keep the SCSI card with the IIgs for now. How much do you guys think these items are worth? :)

    My Apple IIgs

Ok so I'm in PA for a few hours and I found the two cards. Here is the information I could find by reading it off the cards, photos will follow. Card 1: Zip GSX Ver. 1.02 - This has a lot of switches on it and a cord leading to "CPU UI8" on the main Apple II board. It's in the third slot...

    My Apple IIgs

I believe one had the name "Zip" on it - I think it was the processor card or whatever it is. One card had a cable running to a ROM on the main board and seemed to be attached to it somehow. I really can't remember, but by the end of this month I'll be back in PA to take some photos for sure...

    My Apple IIgs

Well thanks for the response, but I don't know if I'd part out the whole system just yet. I was hoping if anything maybe somebody would want the whole bundle. But if I decide to I'll talk to you first. [:)] ]'> I think I have photos somewhere of the cards. But I haven't even tested anything...

    My Apple IIgs

Hello guys, I got this little Apple IIgs a while back, but I've recently been playing with it some more. I thought I'd post some photos. I found it at a thrift store for a steal. It included a IIgs, and two different floppy drives - all with their boxes. The IIgs was the most complete, with...
